Acerca de Whyspace

Taylor Swift famously wrote the lyrics, “Can I ask you a question?” While seemingly a simple query, it plays to the idea that we all have questions some we never pose and some we agonize over never being answered. Pop culture is overrun with gossip columnists, blind items and paparazzi photos in this predatory society we live in. But what if you actually got to sit down with your favorite artist, or athlete? What if you got to ask them all the questions you’ve always wondered? But here’s the catch, you can’t ask them questions that you’ve seen speculated on in social media. Instead, you get to ask them why. Why did they write that song? Why did that choose that part to audition for? Why did they sign with that team? Why did they write that book? Myspace was “a place for friends.” Whyspace is place where we get to know each other. Knowing why someone does something can literally change the trajectory of history. That being said, “Can I ask you a question?”

Episode 109: Why Taylor Swift has left the US

The courtroom drama is heating up — we break down the Blake vs. Wayfarer settlement, Stefon Diggs walking free on all assault charges, and Britney Spears pleading guilty to reckless driving following her DUI arrest. Then we shift to the glitz: the Met Gala delivered unforgettable looks (and a few head-scratchers), the Kentucky Derby crowned a new winner in Golden Tempo, and there's a bizarre hantavirus situation on a cruise ship you need to hear about. In TaylorTalk, Taylor and Travis are still engaged — and still in London. We catch up on LIV Golf's latest drama, break down our NBA playoff picks across all four first-round matchups, and dive into NFL free agency plus the Chiefs' rookie contract situation. Plus, listener questions this week tackle the big debates: Bieber vs. Harry Styles, whether Taylor Swift is the defining celebrity of the 2020s, the most authentic celebrity friendships right now, the couple that defines this decade, and whether the PGA Tour is being fair to LIV defectors trying to come back. All that and the WhyFactor to close it out. Don't miss it.
