Ep 18 A Season of Rest

In this heartfelt episode, I share an important personal update as I close out this current season of the Wife in Christ podcast. This decision comes from a place of peace and obedience, as I feel led to step back, rest, and spend intentional time with God. This episode is an invitation not only for me, but for you as well — to embrace rest, slow down, and reconnect with God in a deeper way. We talk about the importance of being filled before pouring out, nurturing your marriage, and honoring seasons of stillness. During this time, I’ll be focusing on my relationship with God, my marriage, and reflecting on the direction of the podcast, including possible updates and rebranding. This is not goodbye, just a pause. Key scripture: Matthew 11:28

episode Ep 16 Embrace God First artwork

Ep 16 Embrace God First

In this deeply personal and Spirit-led episode, we step into a foundational truth: before we can fully embrace our husbands, we must first learn how to embrace God. This episode was birthed from a quiet moment of reflection during a morning walk, where the Holy Spirit revealed that many of us are trying to show up differently in our marriages without first allowing God to fully enter and lead our lives. This conversation explores what it truly means to embrace God—not just believe in Him, but to receive Him into every area of life. We talk about the subtle ways we keep God at a distance, how control and past experiences impact our ability to trust Him, and how that same resistance can show up in our marriages. Through scripture and honest reflection, this episode connects spiritual intimacy with God to emotional and relational intimacy with your husband. When you begin to draw closer to God, surrender control, and allow Him to lead, it naturally transforms the way you show up as a wife. Key scriptures include James 4:8, Revelation 3:20, and Psalm 34:8. Christian counseling is available for North Carolina residents, and Christian life coaching is available nationwide. episode Ep 15 Do You Embrace Him… or Critique Him? artwork

Ep 15 Do You Embrace Him… or Critique Him?

In this episode, we move beyond allowing your husband to lead and step into what it truly means to embrace him. This conversation explores the emotional, mental, and spiritual ways wives can either create safety or unintentionally create pressure in their marriages. We talk honestly about how past experiences, independence, and survival patterns can make it difficult to trust, soften, and receive your husband fully. This episode also breaks down the difference between helping and controlling, how tone impacts connection, and how your presence shapes the atmosphere of your home. Through biblical truth and real-life reflection, you’ll learn how to shift from evaluation to embrace, from correction to connection, and from control to peace. Key scriptures include Proverbs 18:21 and Ecclesiastes 4:9. Christian counseling is available for North Carolina residents, and Christian life coaching is available nationwide. episode Ep 14 Are You Allowing Him to Lead You? artwork

Ep 14 Are You Allowing Him to Lead You?

In this deep and heart-searching episode of Wife in Christ, we explore a question every godly wife must face: “Am I truly allowing God to lead me… and am I allowing my husband to lead our home?” We talk about what biblical leadership actually means, what submission really is (and what it isn’t), and why God designed marriage with divine order for our protection and peace. This episode also looks at the fears that make women resist leadership — fear of being hurt, fear of losing control, fear from childhood wounds or past relationships — and how those fears quietly shape the way we respond to our husbands today. You’ll hear how surrendering to God first becomes the foundation for following your husband, why resistance in your marriage often reveals resistance in your heart, and how spiritual trust begins long before any physical action. We walk through signs that you may be difficult to lead — things like overcorrecting him, tone, micromanaging, competing, or giving pushback out of habit — and how to gently shift into a posture of peace, respect, and support. We also study Sarah from Scripture and how she followed Abraham’s lead, not because he was perfect, but because her trust was in God, not in a man. Her story shows that biblical femininity is a strength rooted in faith, not weakness. Throughout the episode, we unpack practical ways to follow your husband’s leadership with confidence and softness, including how to adjust your tone, communicate without defensiveness, release control, and create an environment where your husband feels supported, respected, and safe to lead. The episode ends with a heartfelt prayer asking God to shape our hearts, calm our fears, and give us a gentle and quiet spirit that honors Him and blesses our marriage. Key scriptures woven into this episode include Ephesians 5:22–24, Proverbs 3:5–6, 1 Peter 3:5–6, and passages from Genesis involving Sarah and Abraham. Expect powerful truths like: “You are not submitting to a man — you are submitting through a man to God.” and “Control feels safe, but it kills connection and intimacy.” This episode is for wives, engaged women, and women preparing for marriage who want to grow spiritually, heal their relational patterns, deepen emotional intimacy, build peaceful homes, and learn how to walk in biblical femininity with confidence and grace. If you are in North Carolina and need Christian counseling, I offer therapy for women and wives. If you’re outside North Carolina, I offer Christian life coaching worldwide to support your growth in marriage preparation, biblical femininity, emotional regulation, intimacy healing, and becoming the godly wife God is calling you to be.
