7News Just In
James Dallamangus, one of Australia's most wanted fugitives, has been arrested in Greece after nearly three decades on the run. He allegedly murdered George Giannopoulos at a restaurant in southwest Sydney in 1999 before fleeing to Greece via Lord Howe Island, where he lived under a false identity on a farm. New South Wales police, working with the Australian Federal Police and Interpol, provided intelligence that led to his arrest, and authorities are now working to extradite him to Australia to face justice.
