This is part of a year long reading of the Bible chronologically in a harmonized format. Psalms 75:1-10 - The psalmist thanks God for His nearness and declares that He alone judges and exalts. - God warns the wicked against arrogance and affirms that He will lift up the righteous. 2 Samuel 10:1-19 - David sends servants to comfort the new Ammonite king but they are humiliated by shaved beards and cut garments. - The Ammonites hire Aramean mercenaries; David's forces under Joab defeat both armies. Acts 2:42 - 3:10 - Early believers devote themselves to teaching, fellowship, breaking bread, prayer, and sharing possessions. - Peter and John heal a lame beggar at the temple gate in Jesus' name, causing amazement.
