This week’s song was born from a simple realization: Sometimes you don’t fully understand what God has done until you stop long enough to look behind you. Over the last year and a half, I’ve walked through grief, uncertainty, loss, major life changes, a cross-country move, and more than a few moments where I had no idea how things were going to work out. Yet somehow, one step at a time, God kept making a way. Not always the way I expected. Not always on my timeline. But faithfully. This week’s theme has been After the Storm: Building an Ebenezer, inspired by Samuel’s declaration in 1 Samuel 7:12: “Thus far the LORD has helped us.” That’s exactly what this song is about. Not perfect circumstances. Not easy victories. Not having all the answers. Just the quiet confidence that comes from looking back and realizing God has been present through every mile, every loss, every blessing, and every unexpected provision. Takes the next step when the entire map isn’t visible. Everybody wants to make an impact. Most people just aren’t sure where to start. We live in a world that celebrates platforms, followers, influence, and visibility. The Kingdom of God often works differently. Many of the people who changed lives, strengthened believers, shared the gospel, and advanced God’s mission never stood behind a pulpit. They simply served where God placed them. This week’s anthem is for the prayer warriors nobody sees. The encouragers nobody applauds. The servants who show up when there’s work to be done.
