Sonny is known to many as a member of the Southern Cross Band, a Southern Rock band who performed around the Tri-State Area and beyond during the 70’s and 80’s and recently at their 50th Reunion at the Osprey in Manalapan. NJ. Sonny performs at house-parties, local clubs, and with his music partner in the duo “Melanie and Sonny”, and was welcomed here in our community several times in the past. Most recently, Sonny has been performing at hospitals and Senior Assisted Living Communities and providing, what he refers to as, “Music Therapy” for his audience. Listen as Sonny describes his audience, many with Dementia and Alzheimer’s, and the response his gets from singing and playing his guitar to many of their old-time favorites.
