Daily Devotion Theme: Faithful Amidst Betrayal (Christ our Ultimate Hope) Read: Psalm 22:1-11, Hebrews 4:14-16; Matthew 26:14-16 “...Our ancestors trusted you, and you rescued them. When they cried out for help, you saved them, and you did not let them down when they depended on you…Brutal enemies attack me….like a pack of dogs, tearing at my hands…my enemies just stare and sneer at me. They took my clothes and gambled for them…” Psalm 22:4-5; 16-18 CEV Today is the third day of Holy Week, Holy Wednesday, when Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver… (Matthew 26:14-16). Some biblical scholars believe that Judas was disappointed with Jesus because he did not start a political revolution against the tyrant Rome. If that’s true, Judas had lost hope in Jesus, and it is also assumed he never had a deeper relationship with Christ; he ever called him Lord like others, but Rabbi. Is it possible that when people’s expectations are not met, they lose hope and trust, and consequently betray others? The theme for April is “Christ, our ultimate hope,” and the theme for today is “Faithful Amidst Betrayal.” David’s Psalm 22 is known as a messianic psalm because it contains prophetic content about Jesus’ crucifixion. Other Psalms include: Ps. 2, which speaks of an anointed son; Ps. 41, about betrayal by a friend; and Ps. 16, which discusses resurrection. David alternates between intense lamentation (Ps. 22:1-21) and ultimate confidence in God's deliverance (v. 22-31). Amidst all trials, David never doubted God’s faithfulness. Our Lord is called, ‘faithful and true’ (Rev 1:5, 19:11). Moses, Joseph, and Daniel were among those who remained faithful amid trials. Antipas (Rev 2:13) was killed for refusing to worship the Roman emperor. We have a High Priest (Jesus) whom we can trust, who went through all betrayals and trials (Hebrews 4:14-16). But when He returns, will He find faith on earth? (Luke 18:8). We are surrounded by unfaithful people, but the Bible calls us to remain faithful even to death (Rev 2:10). Are you among the faithful? As you pray, ask God to give you grace to stay faithful during trials or betrayals, in Jesus’ name. Amen By Rev Godfrey Kyome

Episode Filled With The Spirit Cover

Filled With The Spirit

Daily Devotional Theme: Filled With The Spirit Read Ezekiel 37:1-14, Acts 2:1-21 What’s that one thing you feel you can’t live without? For many people today, the phone has become that thing. It’s more than a device; it’s their business, their connections, their news, their entertainment, even their companion. The obsession is real because it seems to hold everything together. _But there’s something greater than the phone: the Holy Spirit of God._ A phone may give you a living, connecting you to opportunities and people. But the Holy Spirit gives you life; real life, eternal life, and the power to live it well. When you are filled with Him, you don’t just function; you thrive. "I will put my Spirit in you, and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the Lord have spoken, and I have done it, declares the Lord.’ Ezekiel 37:14 Being filled with the Holy Spirit is about surrendering the control of your daily life to God's guidance. It requires actively desiring His presence, emptying yourself of self-reliance, and inviting the Holy Spirit to lead your thoughts, actions, and decisions. How to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Surrender: The filling of the Spirit is not about you getting more of God; it’s about God getting more of you. It begins when you lay down your own agendas and yield to His will. Continual Infilling: Like breathing, being filled is not a one-time event but a daily, even hourly, necessity. You must consistently invite the Spirit to empower and refresh you. Faith Over Feelings: You are filled with the Spirit by faith in God's promises, not by relying on emotional experiences. Obedience: A Spirit-filled life naturally produces the "fruit of the Spirit" (love, joy, peace, patience…) and leads to boldness in your daily walk and interactions with others. If you want to invite the Holy Spirit to guide you today, use this simple prayer of surrender. Prayer Dear Heavenly Father, I acknowledge that I have been directing my own life. I surrender my plans, my struggles, and my desires to You. I ask that You fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Guide my steps, empower me to love others, and let Your presence rule my heart today. In Jesus' name, Amen." By Rev Kenneth Kabanda Katusabe

Episode The Cross Unites Cover

The Cross Unites

Daily Devotional Theme: The Cross Unites Read Psalm 22:1-12, Colossians 1:18-23 Have you ever thought about why the cross is shaped like a compass? It connects East and West, North and South, meeting at one pivotal point. In the same way, the cross unites people from every walk of life, bringing them together as followers of Christ. ”...and through Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through His blood, shed on the cross. Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior.” Colossians 1:20-21 The cross is a symbol of unity that tears down walls of hostility and reconciles believers from every walk of life. It reminds us of God’s grace and the shared foundation of faith that connects us, despite our differences. It brings reconciliation and peace, bridging the divide between humanity and God; and by extension, between one another. As Ephesians 2:14 puts it, Christ has broken down the dividing wall of hostility to create one new humanity. Shared Purpose. When believers fix their eyes on Christ’s sacrifice, personal preferences, backgrounds, and worldly titles fade into the background. The cross unites all followers under one identity in Him. Active Love, True Unity. Christ’s love calls us beyond our differences. The cross compels believers to embrace one another in harmony, compassion, and mutual accountability. Prayer Heavenly Father, thank You for the cross that reconciles us to You and to one another. Help me lay down my pride and differences, and walk in unity and grace with my fellow believers. Let Your love be clearly reflected in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen. By Rev Kenneth Kabanda Katusabe

Episode Unity Through Love Cover

Unity Through Love

Daily Devotional Theme: Unity Through Love Read: Song of Songs 8:6–7, Colossians 3:12–17 People can share designer dresses, shoes, luxurious cars, and some even offer their beds to friends in the name of love. But I know of no one who would share their spouse — the one to whom they are joined — with a friend, even for one night! Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm, for love is strong as death, jealousy is cruel as the grave. Its flashes are flashes of fire, the very flame of the LORD. Song of Solomon 8:6 ESV Ladies and gentlemen, love is a complex, multifaceted emotion and an act of the will characterized by deep affection, commitment, and selfless dedication to another’s well-being. It involves a profound bond, encompassing intimacy, passion, and care, often requiring us to prioritize another person’s needs. Love is not just a feeling, but a deliberate choice to support a partner’s growth, happiness, and overall well-being. This is what makes love pleasant and exciting. Yet it can turn toxic and deadly if mishandled—especially through betrayal of trust. Love is the foundation of unity. Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Colossians 3:12 NIV Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. Colossians 3:13 NIV And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts. Colossians 3:14–15 NIV Hymn: Love Lifted Me Prayer Dear Lord, You loved us before we loved You. Those who claim to love You yet do not love their brothers and sisters deceive themselves. Give us love to keep us in unity. In Jesus’ name, Amen. By Rev Kenneth Kabanda Katusabe

Episode One Body, Many Members Cover

One Body, Many Members

Daily Devotional Theme: One Body, Many Members Read: 1 Samuel 3:1–10, 1 Corinthians 12:12–27 Once upon a time, a great argument broke out among the parts of a human body. The hands said, “We do all the hard work, but the stomach does nothing except sit in the middle and eat.” The legs and feet complained, “We carry all the weight of this gluttonous stomach.” The mouth grumbled, “I am tired of bringing down food for the stomach.” The stomach listened silently as the other parts decided to go on strike and stop feeding it. Soon, something strange happened. The hands grew weak and could not hold anything. The legs felt shaky and tired. The mouth went dry. They began to realize that the food the stomach digested was actually converted into energy for the whole body. They understood that they were all interconnected, and that the stomach’s work was necessary for their own strength. “Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable.” 1 Corinthians 12:12, 22 NIV Some lessons to go by; 🪏Selfishness never pays, and unity is strength. In our continental diversity, we are all children of the same Father. 🪏We all need one another. No one is superior or unnecessary — whether rich or poor, peasant or executive, villager or city dweller. 🪏We are created to complement and support one another for communal prosperity. 🪏Our varied gifts should be used to bring glory to God, not self-pride. Let us honor and respect our brothers and sisters. Prayer Dear Lord, united we stand and divided we fall. We ask You to unite the Church and keep it under Your watch. Break every barrier that hinders us from functioning as one body. Through Christ our Lord, Amen. By Rev Kenneth Kabanda Katusabe

Episode Accept One Another Cover

Accept One Another

Daily Devotional Theme: Accept One Another May 5th, 2026 Read: Ruth 1:6–18 Romans 15:7–13 It is said of the late Archbishop Livingstone Mpalanyi Nkoyooyo that, during his pastoral visits to the islands of Lake Victoria, he would eat ekibeero with the fishermen while his entourage would not. This would stir excitement along the shore, drawing many fishermen to him, and the Gospel was preached. But Ruth replied, “Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God.” Ruth 1:16 “Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.” Romans 15:7 To accept one another is to choose fellowship with others, setting aside self-importance and pride, and regarding them with sympathy, dignity, and respect. It means remembering that each person is God’s creation. Yet, can you imagine that some Christians refuse to hug, shake hands, or sit with those they deem “unclean”? Some will not greet new believers with “Praise God,” thinking themselves holier than others. Key reasons to accept one another: 🌷It builds stronger relationships: Accepting both weaknesses and strengths fosters deeper, more meaningful connections that allow relationships to grow and endure. 🌷It reduces conflict and stress: Choosing to accept people as they are, rather than trying to change them, lessens personal stress and unnecessary conflict. 🌷It cultivates a higher level of love: It enables you to love others without requiring agreement, creating healthy, peaceful, and respectful relationships. 🌷It is God’s way: He commands us to accept one another, just as Christ accepted us, to bring Him praise. Prayer Most loving and merciful Father, You first loved and accepted us even when we did not deserve Your divine intervention. Holy Spirit of God, help us to consider others more highly than ourselves. For Your praise and glory, we pray and believe. Amen. By Rev Kenneth Kabanda Katusabe
