The Parable of the Persistent Widow

Passage: Luke 18:1-8  We must be persistent in taking our prayers to the Righteous Judge, trusting in His character and promises. The faithful will remain steady in Christ and Christ alone and will find hope and dependence on God in prayer.

Parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector

Passage: Luke 18:9-14  The only way that we are made righteous is through Christ's righteousness. We must be continuously undone in the light of God’s mercy and grace towards us.

The Parable of the Good Samaritan

Passage: Luke 10:25-37  God's love and mercy towards us should lead us to acts of love and mercy towards others. All people who God puts in our path are neighbors we must love.

The Parable of the Talents

Passage: Matthew 25:14-30  A focus on what you don't have will always distort your view of what you do have. We all have time, talents, and opportunities that the Lord has given us that we need to steward well.

The Parable of the Sower

Passage: Mark 4:1-20  As we look at the Parable of the Sower we respond in two ways. First, we must evaluate our heart and see what kind of hearers we have proven to be, then as Christians, we need to faithfully accept our call to sow.
