Beschreibung

America was born in a moment of shaking. On May 17, 1776, before independence was declared, the Continental Congress called the nation to humiliation, fasting, repentance, and prayer — asking God to establish America upon “a solid and lasting foundation.” Now, 250 years later, we again find ourselves in a time of shaking: political shaking | moral shaking | cultural shaking | spiritual shaking. Hebrews 12 reminds us that God allows shaking so that what cannot be shaken may remain. When the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do? Like Nehemiah — rebuild the wall. Like Ezekiel — stand watch on the wall. Like Esther — intercede in the gap of the wall. Like Daniel — discern the writing on the wall. This Signs of the Times message explores America’s foundations, the dangers of false foundations, and the unshakable Kingdom of Christ. Episode The Kingdom Is Already Yours | Matthew 5: 1-4 | Nick Johnson | Landmark Church Cover

The Kingdom Is Already Yours | Matthew 5: 1-4 | Nick Johnson | Landmark Church

In this sermon, Jesus begins the Sermon on the Mount by declaring the blessed condition of those who belong to the kingdom of heaven. The Beatitudes are not presented as a checklist of behaviors to earn God’s favor, but as descriptions of the character produced in those whom grace has already claimed. Through the first two Beatitudes, Jesus shows that the poor in spirit recognize their complete dependence on God, while those who mourn grieve over their sin in the light of His holiness. Yet this mourning is not hopeless, because the same God who exposes our need also promises perfect and lasting comfort through Christ. From The Great Tribulation To The Great Throne | Revelation 7:9-17 | Landmark Church | Matthew Maher

In Revelation 7, John sees an innumerable multitude from every nation, tribe, people, and tongue standing before the throne and before the Lamb. These are the ones who came out of the Great Tribulation — washed white by the blood of the Lamb, clothed in victory, and shepherded forever in the presence of God. This message explores: • The connection between the 144,000 and the great multitude • “Who is able to stand?” from Revelation 6:17 • The meaning of the white robes and palm branches • Why redemption in Christ is the only unity that stands the test of time • “Religion whitewashes. The Lamb washes white.” • The Lamb who became the Shepherd • God dwelling with His people again From the Great Tribulation to the Great Throne, Revelation 7 reminds us that the Lamb loses none of His own. Episode Psalm 41: The Rumors and The Righteous | Matthew Maher | Landmark Church Cover

Psalm 41: The Rumors and The Righteous | Matthew Maher | Landmark Church

The righteous through the ages have been maligned, whispered about, betrayed, and mischaracterized. Psalm 41 reveals that some of the deepest wounds in life do not come from enemies across the battlefield, but from voices around the table. In this message, we walk through: • The blessing of generosity • The whispering of enemies • The pain of betrayal • The mercy of God • The vindication of the righteous • And how Psalm 41 ultimately points us to Jesus Christ — the greater aid to the afflicted and the greater betrayed King. “We may lose in the court of public opinion. We may lose in the battle of private whispering. But the redeemed can never lose their standing before the throne of God’s grace.” Be sure to subscribe to the Landmark Church YouTube Channel and wherever you access podcasts to stay updated on all upcoming sermons. Episode Who Are The 144,000? (The Mark of the Lamb) | Revelation 7:1-8 | Landmark Church | Matthew Maher Cover

Who Are The 144,000? (The Mark of the Lamb) | Revelation 7:1-8 | Landmark Church | Matthew Maher

What is the seal of God? Who are the 144,000 in Revelation 7? Are they symbolic… or literal Israelites preserved during the Tribulation? In this message, we walk verse-by-verse through Revelation 7:1–8 and uncover the biblical thread of the remnant running from Genesis to Revelation. Before judgment intensifies, heaven pauses the timeline to reveal a powerful truth: God knows those who are His. In this teaching: • The interlude of Revelation 7 explained • The four winds and withheld judgment • The sealing of the 144,000 • The Old Testament connection to Ezekiel 9 • The “remnant thread” throughout Scripture • The Seal of God vs. the Mark of the Beast • Satan as the great counterfeiter • Why Revelation ultimately comes down to one question: Who do you belong to? “Who is able to stand?” Those who belong to Jesus. Episode Psalm 40: When The Pit Becomes The Platform | Matthew Maher | Landmark Church Cover

Psalm 40: When The Pit Becomes The Platform | Matthew Maher | Landmark Church

What do you do when life feels like a pit? In Psalm 40, David testifies of crying out to God from the miry clay — and discovering that the same God who hears us in the pit is able to lift us onto the rock. What began with waiting eventually turned into worship, proclamation, and renewed dependence upon the Lord. In this message, “When The Pit Becomes The Platform,” we walk through: • Waiting on God in difficult seasons • How God turns pain into testimony • The Messianic picture of Christ in Psalm 40 • Obedience over empty sacrifice • Why transformed lives become testifying lives • How to trust God’s justice without becoming bitter • The rhythm of the Christian life: the pit, the praise, the proclamation, and the plea Psalm 40 reminds us that God not only brings His people out of pits — He puts a new song in their mouths. “The same God who heard David in the pit ultimately sent Christ into our pit so we could be brought into His presence.” Be sure to subscribe to the Landmark Church YouTube Channel and wherever you access podcasts to stay updated on all upcoming sermons.
