Calls for extra bus stops on Limerick city route

Public transport has been expanding across Limerick in recent years and the new 310 bus route has been welcomed by many residents in the growing Singland and Bloodmill road areas. But there's now a call to make sure that older communities are not left behind with concerns that residents in areas like Castletroy View still don't have access to nearby bus services. Fine Gael Councillor Sarah Kiley says adding extra stops could make a huge difference for the older residents and encourage more people to leave the car at home and she joined the Limerick Today show for more. Some advice on the current heat spell

While many of us might be delighted to see a proper spell of summer weather, there is a serious side to this week's heat. Met Eireann has issued a status yellow high temperature warning for Ireland, with temperatures expected to climb well into the high 20s, possibly even reaching 31 degrees by Thursday. AI discovery day in Limerick for community groups

Intimate image abuse hotline launched

To try and combat the amount of inappropriate content online, CyberSafeKids and Irish Internet Hotline have launched an online Intimate Image Abuse campaign after a 66% surge in reports in 2025. The launch of Limerick Pride 2026

The wheels are in motion for this year’s Limerick Pride 2026, themed 'Pride in Our Community' The week-long festival runs from Monday, July 6, to Saturday, July 11 and will see a packed lineup of workshops, support groups, arts, and nightlife.  This year's festivities will be extra special, following the announcement that Limerick and Clare will host EuroPride 2028.
