It's Hard To Wait

Saying Goodbye Is Hard

It's Up To You To Be Happy Today

We often fall into the trap of believing that happiness is a result of our circumstances. We tell ourselves that we will be happy when the weekend arrives, when the bank account looks better, or when a certain problem is finally resolved. However, waiting for perfect conditions to feel joy is a recipe for perpetual disappointment. True happiness, the kind that scripture speaks of, is not a reaction to what happens to us; it is a decision we make in response to who God is. Psalm 118:24 reminds us that today—this very specific day, with all its imperfections and challenges—is a creation of the Lord. Because He made it, there is reason to rejoice.
