Beschreibung

"I was pleasantly surprised, I don't think it was that bad at all." This beautiful patient is a year out from her abdominoplasty and hernia repair. She has three children, two of which were born via c-section, so she was anticipating that level of pain but was pleasantly surprised. The recovery was much easier than she expected, and she was back to coaching her daughter's lacrosse team at 2 weeks post-op! She's a nurse and often cares for patient's with drains, so she was very happy to not have to deal with them herself. When asked about wearing bikinis this summer, she said, "I'm looking forward to getting some new ones this year!" She used to have to wear a brace when working out because her hernia made her uncomfortable, so she is enjoying the freedom she has now to exercise. IMMEDIATELY POST-OP: Mini Tummy Tuck and Fat Grafting Patient Shares Her Awake Surgery Experience

This 53-year-old patient is fresh out of the OR and is in the recovery area immediately post-op after her mini tummy tuck and fat grafting to the breast under local anesthesia. "The whole experience was wonderful. I got to listen to music the whole time and talk, and the procedures were not painful at all." She decided to undergo these operations because she missed her pre-pregnancy body. She did not want implants, so she was very happy to discover that she could have her fat grafted to her breasts. "Your team is awesome. Every nurse or technician that I spoke with was very helpful, very friendly, answered all my questions, went above and beyond to make sure I was aware of and comfortable." Episode NEO-UMBILICUS Tummy Tuck: 48-Year-Old Patient Has a Brand New Belly Button Cover

NEO-UMBILICUS Tummy Tuck: 48-Year-Old Patient Has a Brand New Belly Button

"I don't want to call it easy, but it was much easier than I thought it would be." This lovely patient is 48-year-old and is two weeks out from her drainless abdominoplasty, removal and replace of her implants, and mastopexy. She is very happy that she was drainless because she was able to get back to her normal life quicker.  Dr. Claytor tells all his patients that they're going to hate him for the first 3 days, which this patient confirms is very accurate, but she could feel herself getting better everyday. At 2 weeks, she is completely off her pain medications and only needs a muscle relaxer to help her get a full night of sleep. This patient's belly button was deemed unviable during the procedure, so she had what is called a neo-umbilicus procedure. This means that Dr. Claytor completely reconstructed her belly button during the operation. She was very diligent about following post-op instructions for blood clot prevention. This is a program that Dr. Claytor created to ensure the health and safety of his patients after their procedures. Thank you for tuning in to Plastic Surgery: What the reveal reveals!
