Beschreibung

John 17:1-11 Jesus looked up to heaven and said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son so that the Son may glorify you, since you have given him authority over all people, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him. And this is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. I glorified you on earth by finishing the work that you gave me to do. So now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had in your presence before the world existed. “I have made your name known to those whom you gave me from the world. They were yours, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word. Now they know that everything you have given me is from you; for the words that you gave to me I have given to them, and they have received them and know in truth that I came from you; and they have believed that you sent me. I am asking on their behalf; I am not asking on behalf of the world, but on behalf of those whom you gave me, because they are yours. All mine are yours, and yours are mine; and I have been glorified in them. And now I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them in your name that you have given me, so that they may be one, as we are one.” stmtts.org [https://www.stmtts.org/]| Facebook [https://www.facebook.com/pg/StMatthewsEpiscopalChurch/videos/?ref=page_internal] | Instagram [https://www.instagram.com/stmttssterling/] | YouTube [https://www.youtube.com/user/StMatthewsSterling/live]

E233 - Law and Order | Rev. Josh House | Sunday, July 5th, 2026

Matthew 11:16-19, 25-30 Jesus said to the crowd, “To what will I compare this generation? It is like children sitting in the marketplaces and calling to one another, ‘We played the flute for you, and you did not dance;we wailed, and you did not mourn.’ For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, ‘He has a demon’; the Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Look, a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ Yet wisdom is vindicated by her deeds.” At that time Jesus said, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and the intelligent and have revealed them to infants; yes, Father, for such was your gracious will. All things have been handed over to me by my Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. “Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” stmtts.org [https://www.stmtts.org/]| Facebook [https://www.facebook.com/pg/StMatthewsEpiscopalChurch/videos/?ref=page_internal] | Instagram [https://www.instagram.com/stmttssterling/] | YouTube [https://www.youtube.com/user/StMatthewsSterling/live]

E232 - Finding Goodness | Rev. Rob Merola | Sunday, June 28th, 2026

Jesus said, “Whoever welcomes you welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. Whoever welcomes a prophet in the name of a prophet will receive a prophet's reward; and whoever welcomes a righteous person in the name of a righteous person will receive the reward of the righteous; and whoever gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones in the name of a disciple-- truly I tell you, none of these will lose their reward.” stmtts.org [https://www.stmtts.org/]| Facebook [https://www.facebook.com/pg/StMatthewsEpiscopalChurch/videos/?ref=page_internal] | Instagram [https://www.instagram.com/stmttssterling/] | YouTube [https://www.youtube.com/user/StMatthewsSterling/live]
