274 climbers reached the summit of Mount Everest on the same day, setting a new record for the largest number of people to reach the world's tallest peak simultaneously. The group included two Australians, among them the country's youngest ever summiteer and a Brisbane man who had previously survived an avalanche. The previous record of 223 climbers was set in 2019.
