Pain has a way of shrinking our perspective. When you're hurting, today's struggle can feel like the whole story. Five minutes feels like five hours. Five days feels like five months. And if we're not careful, we begin believing the lie that this chapter is the final chapter. But Romans 8:18 lifts our eyes above our circumstances and gives us an eternal perspective. Paul says, "I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is going to be revealed to us." He's essentially saying, "I've done the math."
