This episode, I heard from Luke, who has been playing since he was 12-years old. We discuss what youth dodgeball looks like in Italy, and the struggles that clubs face across the world when trying to promote dodgeball to the wider public.

41. On Dodgeball Mexico and Anarchy (Luis de la Riva)

For the first episode of the new batch, I heard from Luis, who has contributed so much to dodgeball in Mexico. I heard about how he jumped in at the deep end by playing internationally, and returning home to grow his own club over multiple years. Now, he's part of Anarchy Dodgeball. We covered all of this and more, and I wish we could have talked for longer.

40. Raising Up the Next Generation (Alessandro Gozzi)

This episode I heard from Alessandro, who has given so much to dodgeball in Italy. He started Empoli Swarm and is looking to expand dodgeball throughout Tuscany as much as possible. He's also a coach for the national team and heavily involved in youth dodgeball. We covered a lot this episode, and I'm sure I barely scratched the surface. This interview came at such a serendipitous time, and Alessandro was exactly the right person who could answer an important question for a friend. One of the most exciting episodes for me since the podcast began.

This episode I heard from Emma, in Taiwan. She was kind enough to talk to me about how the dodgeball we know is quite new to Taiwan, and how she joined in the first wave of players in 2021.

38. The Oranje Open (Dylan & Rosemarie)

This episode I heard from the organisers of an Open event which occurred recently. I learned about everything that went into organising this event and what inspired it. We also got into what dodgeball means to us. Mostly, these are two of the most charming guests I've ever had, and in a constant fight against my annual PTO, I hope to attend the Oranje Open in person one day if circumstances allow.
