Researchers are trying to decipher a "hidden language" in fox urine to better control the pests. There are an estimated 1.7 million foxes in Australia, responsible for the deaths of millions of livestock and native animals. A joint venture between Charles Sturt University and the New South Wales Environmental Trust is hoping to use the animals urine to make management more effective.
