The Siren's Echo
Every day, at the edge of worlds, where the path dissolved into the shadow of trees, she slipped off her shoes- as if shedding the weight of human order. She stood barefoot at the forest’s threshold, and for a brief moment, she fell silent with it. Closing her eyes, she let the pine-scented breath seep deep into her, down to the very roots of her soul. The whisper of birds was no longer sound, but a language she understood without words. Mist wove itself through the branches, and the damp earth carried the scent of everything that had come before her. She stepped further in- not as a visitor, but as a part of the place. With every step, boundaries faded, roles dissolved, and the need to suppress what was wild and primal disappeared. In the forest, there were no masks. No expectations. There was only her- bare in her truth, calm, untamed. For the forest did not welcome her. The forest recognized her.
