Beschreibung

October 2017. A dead-end road in Elkhart, Indiana. A tire swing hanging from a sycamore that shouldn't have held anything at all. I was driving back from a shift at the all-night diner when my headlights caught a girl on the swing — barefoot, in a thin white dress, her hair lifting even though there was no wind. I slowed down because it was two in the morning and the road ended in a cul-de-sac and there were no houses for a quarter mile. The swing creaked. She didn't look at me. I rolled down the window and asked if she needed a ride. She said, 'I'm waiting for my turn.' That should have been the end of it. But I went back the next night. And the night after. And each time the swing was still moving when I arrived, and each time she was a little closer to the road. This is a story about hunger — the kind that doesn't belong to the living. It's about a black rope fraying in the dark, and about the things we convince ourselves we're not seeing. And it's about what happens when a dead-end road finally ends. #FexingoHorror #HorrorPodcast #TwelveWaysToDieInOctober #PonderosaLane #ElkhartIndiana #tireswing #OctoberHorror #ghoststory #AppalachianHorror #folklore #waitingfortheturn #deadendroad #sycamoretree #midwesternGothic #childghost #noescape #creepypasta #listenersupported Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo [https://buymeacoffee.com/fexingo]

Episode The Fence Post at the End of Denton Road Cover

The Fence Post at the End of Denton Road

A woman named Sarah moves into a house at the end of Denton Road, a dead-end street where the asphalt crumbles into an overgrown field. The house is old, with a strange iron fence post in the backyard, set apart from the rest of the fence. Sarah starts hearing a sound at night—a rhythmic scrape, like metal on bone, coming from the direction of that post. She looks out the window and sees a figure standing by it, a figure that shouldn't be there, a figure that seems to be waiting. Luna tells the story of what Sarah found when she finally walked out to that fence post one October night, and what it was that had been leaving scratches in the frost every morning. A story about the boundaries we think we have, and the ones we don't know we've crossed. #FencePost #DentonRoad #Sarah #OctoberNight #Scratching #FrostPatterns #Boundaries #IronFence #DeadEndStreet #OvergrownField #Luna #FexingoHorror #HorrorPodcast #StandaloneEpisode #SlowBurnHorror #Atmospheric #SolitaryFigure #Fence Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo [https://buymeacoffee.com/fexingo]

Episode The Scarecrow at the End of Warren Road Cover

The Scarecrow at the End of Warren Road

October 1989. Warren Road, a gravel stretch just outside Denton, Ohio, where the cornfields go right up to the asphalt and the only light comes from farmhouse windows half a mile apart. Luna tells the story of Boyd Haskell, a retired farmer who started burning scarecrows in his front yard every October night for reasons nobody could explain. Not his scarecrows — ones he found in other people's fields, stolen under cover of dark. Neighbors said it was grief, that he'd lost his wife the previous winter and the loneliness had cracked something in him. But Luna knew Boyd, and she knew the look in his eyes the night she drove past and saw him standing beside a fire, watching a straw figure blacken and curl. She pulled over. He didn't turn around. He just said, 'It's not the corn they're after, Luna. It's the shape we gave them.' What he meant by that, she didn't learn until the last scarecrow burned. And by then, the field behind his house had started to move. #TwelveWaysToDieInOctober #FexingoHorror #HorrorPodcast #OctoberHorror #Scarecrow #WarrenRoad #Cornfields #BoydHaskell #DentonOhio #Bonfire #Grief #HarvestSeason #SmallTownHorror #CreepyFields #StrawFigure #1989 #NoAdsListenerSupported #AnthologyHorror Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo [https://buymeacoffee.com/fexingo]

Episode The Last Hay Bale at the End of Miller Road Cover

The Last Hay Bale at the End of Miller Road

October 1998, just outside the town of Afton. A man named Caleb Vance spent every autumn stacking hay bales in his field, building a maze for the local kids. But one bale was different—it was wrapped in black twine, and it smelled like wet dog and burnt sugar. Caleb told me he found it at the edge of his property, near the drainage ditch where the old Miller place used to stand. He should have left it alone. But he dragged it into the pile, because that's what you do with a stray bale. What came out of that bale on the night of October 20th didn't want candy. It wanted the shape of a person to wear. This is what Caleb whispered to me from his hospital bed, his arms wrapped in gauze, his voice the sound of a man who had seen the inside of something that should not exist. #FexingoHorror #HorrorPodcast #TwelveWaysToDieInOctober #TheLastHayBale #CalebVance #Afton #MillerRoad #HayBale #BlackTwine #BurntSugar #DrainageDitch #TheOldMillerPlace #October1998 #HospitalBed #SkinSuit #HarvestHorror #RuralNightmare #SoloNarrated Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo [https://buymeacoffee.com/fexingo]

Episode The Leaf Pile at the End of Maple Street Cover

The Leaf Pile at the End of Maple Street

October 1998. A little girl in a ghost costume disappears from a front yard on Maple Street, a quiet cul-de-sac in Ridgewood, Ohio. She was last seen jumping into a leaf pile—a huge, perfect pile her father had raked that morning. But when he turned to grab the camera, she was gone. The leaves were still settling. No foot tracks leading away. No sound. He tore through the pile with his bare hands, and found only a single yellow leaf stuck to the bottom of his shoe. That was twenty-five years ago. I walk Maple Street every October. I know the house. I know the father who still rakes the same pile every autumn, even though his wife moved away and the police closed the case. And I know what I saw last night, when the porch light flickered and the leaves began to shift on their own. This is not a story about a missing child. It's about what happens when grief learns to wait. #FexingoHorror #HorrorPodcast #TwelveWaysToDieInOctober #MapleStreet #RidgewoodOhio #LeafPile #MissingChild #1998 #AutumnHorror #Grief #PorchLight #ColdCase #GhostCostume #OctoberNight #YellowLeaf #SlowBurn #AtmosphericHorror #LunaNarrates Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo [https://buymeacoffee.com/fexingo]

Episode The Last Pumpkin at the End of Hickory Row Cover

The Last Pumpkin at the End of Hickory Row

October 1998. A woman named Margo buys the last pumpkin from a roadside stand on Hickory Row, a dead-end road outside the town of Millbrook. The old man selling it gives her a warning she doesn't understand: 'Don't carve it until the moon sets.' Margo takes the pumpkin home anyway, and that night, she learns why some things are best left in the dark. The pumpkin's flesh is thin as paper, the seeds are black, and the face it makes when she lights the candle inside is not the face she carved. This is a story about boundaries — between fields and forests, between the living and the listening. Luna tells it from her chair by the jack-o'-lantern, the fire low, a cold draft slipping through the window frame. #FexingoHorror #HorrorPodcast #TwelveWaysToDieInOctober #HickoryRow #Millbrook #Pumpkin #October1998 #RoadsideStand #Carving #Moon #Warning #Seeds #Dread #Atmospheric #SlowBurn #Solonarration #Luna #Anthology Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo [https://buymeacoffee.com/fexingo]
