Episode Noche de Los Grandes: Why We Love Wrestling Cover

Beschreibung

It's a three-man booth this week as The Old Bucks and Gherkins gather in the Gorilla Room to discuss one of the most gloriously ridiculous wrestling matches in recent memory. At Noche de Los Grandes, an American Olympic wrestler pretending to be a luchador and wearing a mask faced a German wrestler pretending to be an American, who was also wearing a luchador mask. The stipulation? One of these men, both of whom we've watched wrestle without masks for years, would lose their mask and suffer the ultimate humiliation. On paper it's completely absurd. In practice? It was outstanding. The lads break down the incredible atmosphere in Mexico, the crowd's investment in the story, and why Chad Gable deserves enormous credit for helping create one of the most entertaining wrestling spectacles of the year. They discuss why the match worked so well, why lucha traditions still matter, and whether this was genuinely one of the best things WWE has produced in years. There's also time to touch on WWE Clash in Italy and some of the other major happenings across the wrestling world. Sometimes wrestling is at its best when it fully embraces how ridiculous it can be. ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. Episode The Biggest Overpushes in Wrestling Cover

The Biggest Overpushes in Wrestling

This week's topic comes from Wrestling Fan Wrestling Show listener Adam Redmond, who suggested a debate around one of wrestling's most divisive subjects: overpushed wrestlers. With recent discussion surrounding Cody Rhodes, Shane and Morro ask a simple question that's anything but easy to answer: what does "overpushed" actually mean? Is it someone who wins too often? A wrestler consistently placed above more deserving talent? Or is it simply a case of fan perception? As always, the parameters quickly disappear. The lads each reveal their top three most overpushed wrestlers of all time, leading to debates around names like Roman Reigns, Triple H, Kevin Nash, the McMahon family, and the role of on-screen authority figures throughout wrestling history. As you'd expect, plenty of tangents follow. This is Part 1 of a two-part discussion. Next week, the pendulum swings the other way as the lads look at the most underpushed wrestlers in wrestling history. Got a topic you'd like us to cover? Episode The Greatest Feel-Good Title Wins in Wrestling History Cover

The Greatest Feel-Good Title Wins in Wrestling History

After weeks of legal battles, hostile takeovers and questionable decision-making in the WFSHOW-Verse, Shane and Morro finally sit down to try and sort out their differences. With peace (mostly) restored, the lads turn their attention to Night of Champions 2026, where Sami Zayn finally captured the WWE Championship. The victory sparks a wider discussion about the greatest feel-good title wins in wrestling history and why some championship victories stay with fans forever. From Eddie Guerrero's unforgettable triumph, to Rob Van Dam at ECW One Night Stand, Mick Foley winning the WWF Championship on Raw, Lex Luger on Nitro and many more, the lads discuss the moments that proved wrestling is at its very best when the audience genuinely cares.
