9 episoderAnother episode riddled with crime, murder, suicide, and theft. Can you figure out who stole the cheese? Hint: it's an unlikely suspect. I want you to let me know if you think the punishment fits the crime in many of these cases. We have a good amount for you to judge if they were too easy or too hard on criminals. Also, we hear about Charles Dickens reading for the first time in public. If you want to skip my apology and get right into the episode skip ahead about 4 1/2 minutes to get to the start of it, but it is some stuff that is important to me so I urge you to listen. If you like this or any of the episodes, please go on iTunes or Apple Podcast app and leave a rating and review. It is much appreciated. We go back to our standard format this week in Aberdeen, Scotland, 1893. There is plenty of crime, more in the way of wife beating, murder, and some unusual accidents. Do I keep off my soapbox about anti-vaxxers, or do I let them have it in this fun filled episode? You will have to listen to find out! If you like this or any of the episodes, please go to iTunes or Apple Podcast and leave a 5 star rating with a review. Anyone that does this will get a shout-out on the show. Also, make sure you tell your friends and spread the word about this amazing podcast. Unfortunately, I recorded a new episode Monday, and when I went to edit the audio volume was all over the place and it sounded like garbage. Due to my work schedule, I will not be able to record and edit until Thursday. I apologize for the delay, but I would rather wait a few days to put out a quality episode, rather than put out some trash. I hope you understand, and I promise it will be worth the wait. Take care.
This week we are changing things up. Instead of focusing on a specific paper, we are looking at a specific event. Lincoln's assassination and how justice was obtained. We start on the date of the assassination and end with the hanging of 4 of the conspirators. Open your mind, and dive into this episode expecting to hear this story told like you have never heard before. History class misses out on so much detail that is brought to you in this episode. You will feel like you are there while all of this is taking place. It is an emotional episode, so allow yourself to enter the mind of a citizen in the year 1865 and take a journey through the death of our 16th President and his assassins. If you like this episode, please rate and review the show. Hello my friends. We are spending another week in Abbyville, Kansas exploring different legal cases that end with some surprising results. A boy narrowly escapes one of the most powerful jaws on the planet through the quick action of his father, and so many interesting facts to impress your friends and family with, you would be silly not to listen. Of course you can't forget all the #fakescience along with some real science, and one of the most pointless inventions that you need to hear about. All this week and every week, only at Almost Lost to History. If you like this episode and any of the previous episodes and want to hear your name on the next episode, all you have to do is go onto iTunes or the Apple Podcast app and leave a 5 star rating AND write a review. I will do a special shout out in the beginning of the next episode after I see the review to anyone that does this as a small token of appreciation. Other ways you can hear your name is to go to patreon.com/almostlosttohistory and make a donation to the show. Check out the different tiers and find one that works for you.
