22 episoderSpecial guest Tony Lippett joins us on the 22nd episode of Beyond the Game Podcast. Detroit native, Tony attended Crockett high school as a dual sport athlete in football and track. Rated among the nations top prospects, Tony took his talents to East Lansing were he played various positions from quarterback, defensive back and wide receiver. He made a home at wide receiver where he racked up 65 catches, 1,198 yards and 11 touchdowns which earned him first team All-big Ten honors. Drafted in the fifth round, 156th overall to the Miami Dolphins, Tony made the transition back to defensive back. Lipp would later play for the New York Giants, Cincinnati Bengals and Saskatchewan Roughriders. Currently, Tony is devoting his time to his baby girl Aubrey and training for the NFL season. Special guest Kynan Forney joins us on the 21 episode of Beyond the Game Podcast. Coach Forney is originally from Nacogdoches, Texas and began his career at Trinity Valley community college. After winning the JUCO National Championship with a 12-0 record, he took his talents to the University of Hawaii. Earning unanimous 1st team All-Western Athletic Conference honors with Hawaii, Forney was selected to play in the Senior Bowl All Star Game in Mobile, AL. In 2001, Forney was drafted in the seventh round, pick 219, to the Atlanta Falcons. Went on to have a great 7 year run with the Bird Birds before finishing up the latter part of his career with the Chargers and the Jaguars. Coach Forney ended his career with the following accolades: Unanimous 1st team All Conference at the JUCO level, Selected to the TVCC Cardinal Hall of Fame, Unanimous 1st team All-Western Athletic Conference, ESPN All Pro, Ranked 54th on the Top 100 Best Players in Atlanta Falcons History, All Falcons Decade Team. Special guest Trey Jackson joins us for the 18th episode of Beyond the Game Podcast. Former player, coach Jackson has manage to put together an impressive resume using the sport of football. A native of Indianapolis, Ind., he attended Warren Central High School. He helped the Warriors to a No. 3 ranking in the nation and four-straight titles, while earning all-conference honors. Jackson played two seasons at Joliet Junior College (2007-09), where he was a two-year starter and an all-conference selection. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sport management from Central Missouri in 2015 and a master’s degree in sport management from UCM in 2018. Jackson played two seasons in the Continental Indoor Football League, playing for the Mid-Missouri Outlaws and Dayton Silverbacks. With the Outlaws he led the team in sacks and tackles for loss in 2013. In 2012, he helped lead the Silverbacks to a 10-2 record and a runner-up finish in the league championship game, while leading the team in sacks and TFL.. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sport management from Central Missouri in 2015 and a master’s degree in sport management from UCM in 2018.
