On today's episode: Mathilde Graversen, Journalist at Danish newspaper Berlingske hands over the mic to the people she would normally interview, to give their view on journalists. Reported by: Saleh Zormati, Self Employed at Zormati and Speaker Mathilde Graversen, Fellow at Constructive Institute and Journalist at Danish newspaper "Berlingske", Denmark Produced by: Mathilde Graversen, Fellow at Constructive Institute and Journalist at Danish newspaper "Berlingske", Denmark Background reading: Danish Journalist at the Danish newspaper "Berlingske" Mathilde Graversen made this podcast as an experiment when she was a Constructive Journalism Fellow at Constructive Institute back in 2019-20. Mathildes podcast consists of two episodes where she takes you through some of the interviews, courses at Aarhus University and thoughts she had during her fellowship year. "I have called the podcast "Når dem vi taler om, ser på os" meaning "when the people we talk about, look at us" with reference to the essential issue with categories such as "us" versus "them", majority versus minority, journalists versus sources," Mathilde explains. In the podcast she lets some of the people she would normally interview and portray, hold the microphone to give their view on her and other journalists. And she elaborates on their inputs. "In stead of sitting alone in the podcast studio elaborating with myself – me being part of the ethnic majority not living in a minority neighbourhood – I invited Saleh Zormati to join me," says Mathilde.
