In episode 6, we're in conversation with Asad Badruddin, co-founder Pakathon. Launched in 2013, Pakathon is a global organization with 85+ volunteers organized around eight volunteer chapters in the US, Canada, Middle East and Australia. By hosting events in cities abroad they connect the Pakistani diaspora to issues in Pakistan and scout for potential “Returners” – individuals who want to move back to Pakistan and do impactful work. In Episode 5, we're in conversation with Maria Umar, founder and president of Women’s Digital League (WDL) which is doing its part to reduce the gap. In Part 1 of Episode 1, we're in conversation with Abhinav Iyer, a Canadian-Indian who was visiting Pakistan for the first time, and his impressions of the country and experiences. About "One Hit Wonders" - As we're having conversations with individuals around their Pakistani experience, sometimes we're finding it hard to push them into the existing series or those in the works. In episode 4, we're in conversation with Saim Sohaib Siddiqui, founder of ProCheck. ProCheck aims to ensure access to genuine products for consumers and help manufacturers regain access to market share by eliminating product counterfeiting. They work with pharmaceutical manufacturers to assign a unique code to every medicine pack. By having every medicine with a unique I.D, replicating the packaging becomes ineffective for counterfeiters. Patients simply have to SMS the code to 8776, and within seconds, receive confirmation that their medicine is genuine. To date, they have booked orders to protect over 40 million units of different medicines.
