The long and perilous road to the MLS cup Finals is finally over. It's not the flashy LAFC or ATL in the cup, but much to the dismay of most MLS fans, its another showdown between Toronto and Seattle. Its official! Our little MLS family is steadily becoming the largest league in the global game. Eventually we will have enough teams to conquer the footballing world. Cheers to Sacramento for be selected as MLS' 29th team, set to debut in 2022. The boys have a "civil" discussion on whether California needs more MLS teams and what the Sac can bring to MLS. The first round of MLS playoffs are done and dusted. With overwhelming applause the boys toast MLS for creating such an intense post season atmosphere with this years post season format. Rise and Blaze tackles the biggest talking points from each match up, from Parkhursts terrifying injury, to the bloodbath that was SEA vs FCD, the need for a strong bench during play offs, the curse that remains for the Red Bulls, the sending off of Wayne Rooney, to the First EVER playoff win for the Union, and finally to MNUFC being the only team to host a playoff match and fumble the result. The boys are back just in time for MLS deadline day! MLS script writers once again nail scheduling and have delivered intense match ups for our final day of the regular season! Once a fly on the wall, now the Rapids resemble more a pesky Godzilla sized wasp. There is a chance (.... No way this actually happens...right?) that the Rapids can qualify for the playoffs. They simply need the moon, the stars, and Zlatan to align in just the right order. They will have to face the Barcelona of MLS, our very own LAFC, in the final regular season game. If Rapids Man was still a thing the Rapids would've easily qualified for the playoffs this year.
