Panama Carnival. Panamanians biggest celebration. Its 4 days of party, prior Ash Wednesday. Even when it all start on Saturday, for some its really on Friday night with the Queen Coronation when all start. What to expect in this 4 days? Lost of water, licor and dance. Its is the only time of year when its allowed to have drinks on the street. Lots of people leave the city to spend these days, in the places where the party is bigger or where they feel more comfortable with. Some of the places are: Las Tablas, Chitre, Penonome and Los Santos. Even when in Panama city there is party too, it almost empty, some restaurants and stores are not open. Since it is a big party, public and private offices are closed until Ash Wednesday noon, and in some cases until Thursday. So if you are coming to Panama for business, I recommend you to rechedule.
