Today I am talking about Hockney Circus, the David Hockney artwork commissioned by the Mayor of London for Piccadilly Circus that caused an uproar on Twitter. I also talk briefly about Hockney’s recent ventures in to digital artwork.

We are talking about how, if at all, artists can separate themselves from the work that they make. I explain NFTs to you in as much detail is possible, I cover the environmental impacts and also the impact that this is having on the art world. Is the NFT market the new Dadaism? Absolutely not, because at least Dadaism had a sense of irony about how ludicrous it was. I also talk about how the rich and famous are profiting off of NFTs despite knowing how terrible the impact is. I’m a little bit ill and you can tell towards the end of this, apologies in advance, it shouldn’t affect your listening experience.

In this episode I chat to you about the newest Banksy that we know of, and the implications that it may have for the town.
