Description

The second edition of Colt Cast is almost entirely devoted to Jasons! We talk to: - Jason James, head coach of the girls' varsity soccer team - Jason Fritz, director of Comstock Bands. This week is a big week for Comstock Bands, and Mr. Fritz tells us why. - Sean Gillette, Facilities Director for Comstock Public Schools. When voters approved a sinking fund earlier this month, opportunities are created to make some repairs and improvements in our schools.

ColtCast004

This fourth edition of ColtCast comes to us after a busy summer! Some schools are starting to settle into their new homes, and we're starting to hit our stride. This edition of ColtCast offers some information about schedule changes to homecoming activities due to the EEE outbreak in our region [http://www.comstockps.org/common/pages/DisplayFile.aspx?itemId=12905853]. We also cover these topics: - The Josh Whitfield Memorial Athletic Fund [http://www.jwmaf.org], and how the JWMAF is helping to make a big difference in our district. - Comstock Early Learning Academy [http://www.comstockps.org/cela] is the newest member of the Comstock community of schools. Learn a little bit more about what they offer. - The Career Technical Education measure that is being proposed to Kalamazoo County voters this November [https://www.kresacte.org]. KRESA Superintendent David Campbell provides some insight into what the approval of this proposal would provide to Kalamazoo County — and Comstock — students and businesses.
