Daily Devotion with Pastor Balla
In this Daily Devotion for August 24, 2026, Pastor David Balla walks through Psalm 78:28-30, a sobering warning where God's people are fully fed, cravings satisfied, and yet judgment falls while the food is still in their mouths. Fullness of stomach did not mean fullness of faith. This devotion warns against mistaking comfortable circumstances or satisfied cravings for evidence that all is well with God. Jesus named this same danger, telling people not to labor for food that perishes but for the food that endures to eternal life, which He alone gives. He is the only satisfaction that does not run out and does not leave judgment hiding underneath it. There we find true grace, forgiveness, and salvation, not in what fills the stomach but in what He has already finished on the cross. Through His redemption we are welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven, and in the Lord's Supper He gives us that one bread which truly satisfies, His true body and blood, for the forgiveness of sins. Examine your own heart today. Do not mistake a filled stomach or a comfortable life for evidence of faith. Let your trust rest in Jesus alone. Subscribe for weekly sermons and Daily Devotions.
