The church, along with those who do not believe in Jesus Christ, need to wake up to the "WOE" that is coming to this fallen world!

We Are Being Transformed

Transformation is not instant—it is ongoing. God loves us enough to meet us where we are, but He loves us too much to leave us there. Throughout Scripture, God uses resistance to strengthen our faith, refine our character, and deepen our dependence on Him. Jacob's wrestling match with God reminds us that some of the greatest blessings in our lives come through seasons of struggle. God wasn't trying to destroy Jacob; He was transforming him into the man He had always intended him to be. God still works that way today. No matter what kind of struggle you are facing, God wants to use it to shape you into the image of His Son.

We Are Full Of The Holy Spirit

What characterizes a Spirit-filled church? Many people immediately think of speaking in tongues, prophecy, miracles, and healing. While these are genuine works of the Holy Spirit, Scripture teaches that spiritual gifts without love and Christlike character amount to little more than noise. A Spirit-filled church is not merely identified by what happens through it, but by what the Holy Spirit produces within it. In Galatians 5, Paul shows us four characteristics of a church that is full of the Holy Spirit: we are led by the Spirit, influenced by the Spirit, empowered by the Spirit, and changed by the Spirit.

We Are Real Community

Throughout this series, we have explored who God has called us to be as His church. These are not just ideas we agree with—they are values we are called to live out together. This week we focused on the importance of biblical community. Using the mason jar illustration, we saw that many people try to follow Jesus in isolation, keeping everything buried within themselves. But God designed us for more. He created us to encourage one another, sharpen one another, support one another, and help each other become complete in Christ. You can believe by yourself, but you can only become in community.

We Are People Of Scripture

God did not leave us to figure life out on our own. His Word is our guide and standard, shaping who we are and how we live. Culture doesn’t shape Scripture—Scripture shapes culture. God’s Word is not just information; it is life, truth, wisdom, and direction. When we read it, speak it, know it, believe it, and obey it, we become the people God created us to be.
