CHACE FARMS Overview Location: 13 acres within the 70+ acre CHACE Village, Chattahoochee Hills, GA Developed by: WOLF Ideas Group Project Timeline: September 2024 – June 2026 Expected Completion: Spring 2026 Vision CHACE FARMS is envisioned as a vibrant 13-acre hub where sustainability, creativity, and community come together in the heart of Metro Atlanta. Nestled within the expansive CHACE Village, CHACE FARMS will be more than just a farm—it will be a thriving ecosystem designed to inspire, engage, and empower individuals from all walks of life. By seamlessly integrating agriculture, arts, culture, and entrepreneurship, CHACE FARMS will serve as a beacon of innovation and inclusivity, setting a new standard for creative placemaking in the region. Mission The mission of CHACE FARMS is to cultivate a sustainable and innovative future by creating a community-centric space where environmental stewardship, creative expression, and entrepreneurial spirit drive holistic development and economic empowerment. Through a diverse range of programs and initiatives, CHACE FARMS will empower local residents, creatives, and entrepreneurs, fostering a vibrant, self-sustaining ecosystem that enriches the cultural and economic landscape of Metro Atlanta. Key Features CHACE FARMS will offer a dynamic mix of features and opportunities designed to engage and benefit the local community: •Sustainable Agriculture: CHACE FARMS will provide rentable garden plots, organic farming workshops, and community-supported agriculture (CSA) programs. These initiatives will empower individuals to grow their own food, learn about sustainable farming practices, and contribute to local food security. The farm’s commitment to environmental stewardship will serve as a model for green living in urban and suburban settings. •Creative Placemaking: At the heart of CHACE FARMS will be spaces dedicated to artistic and cultural expression. The CHACE Artist in Residency (AIR) program will invite creatives to live and work on-site, producing new works that contribute to the cultural vibrancy of the region. Public art installations, cultural events, and workshops will celebrate local talent and engage the community in meaningful ways. •Entrepreneurship and Innovation: CHACE FARMS will be a launchpad for entrepreneurs and small business owners, offering educational programs, mentorship, and networking events designed to support innovation and growth. Through CHACE ACADEMY, participants will gain valuable skills and insights, positioning them for success in a competitive marketplace. •Community Engagement: CHACE FARMS will foster a strong sense of community through weekly gatherings, health and wellness events, and volunteer opportunities. By creating a welcoming space where people can connect, learn, and collaborate, CHACE FARMS will strengthen social bonds and promote active participation in community life. Pain Points Addressed by CHACE FARMS CHACE FARMS is designed to address several critical challenges facing Metro Atlanta: •Lack of Accessible Green Spaces: In many urban and suburban areas, access to green spaces is limited, impacting community health and well-being. CHACE FARMS will offer a much-needed oasis where residents can reconnect with nature, engage in sustainable practices, and participate in outdoor activities that promote physical and mental wellness. •Disconnection Between Communities: As cities grow, the sense of community can become fragmented, leading to social isolation and a loss of cultural identity. CHACE FARMS will serve as a gathering place where people from diverse backgrounds can come together, share experiences, and build lasting connections. Through arts, culture, and community-driven initiatives, CHACE FARMS will strengthen social cohesion and celebrate the rich diversity of Metro Atlanta. •Economic Disparities and Limited Opportunities: Economic inequality and limited access to resources are significant challenges in many parts of Metro Atlanta. CHACE FARMS will address this by offering educational programs, mentorship, and entrepreneurial opportunities that empower individuals and small businesses to succeed. By providing access to resources and support, CHACE FARMS will help bridge economic gaps and foster upward mobility. •Underutilization of Creative Talent: Metro Atlanta is home to a wealth of creative talent, yet many artists and entrepreneurs struggle to find affordable spaces to work, showcase their talents, and grow their businesses. CHACE FARMS will provide a platform where creatives can develop their work, collaborate with others, and engage with the community, contributing to the growth of the local creative economy. By supporting creative expression, CHACE FARMS will enrich the cultural landscape of the region and help position Atlanta as a hub for innovation and the arts. Development Phases CHACE FARMS will be developed in four strategic phases, ensuring steady progress and meaningful impact at every stage: 1.Phase 1: Planning and Infrastructure Setup (Sept 2024 – Dec 2024): This phase will focus on laying the essential groundwork for CHACE FARMS, including feasibility studies, zoning approvals, initial site preparation, and community engagement. A robust marketing campaign will build anticipation and secure early support for the project. 2.Phase 2: CHACE ACADEMY & CHACE AIR Barndominium (Jan 2025 – Apr 2025): The second phase will see the transformation of an existing house into CHACE ACADEMY, a space dedicated to education and skill-building, alongside the construction of the first barndominium for the CHACE Artist in Residency program. These developments will establish CHACE FARMS as a center for creativity and learning. 3.Phase 3: Farm Land Preparation and Rentable Farming Spaces (May 2025 – Oct 2025): In this phase, we will focus on preparing the farmland for cultivation, including land clearing, irrigation setup, and the development of rentable farming spaces. These initiatives will provide local residents with opportunities to engage in sustainable agriculture and contribute to the local food economy. 4.Phase 4: Launch FARM, Build Out Artist Studios & Lodging (Nov 2025 – Mar 2026): The final phase will bring CHACE FARMS to full realization with the launch of the farm, the construction of artist studios, and the development of unique lodging options such as treehouses and additional barndominiums. This phase will establish CHACE FARMS as a premier destination for cultural, creative, and sustainable experiences, just in time for the World Cup in June 2026. Impact and Outcomes By the time CHACE FARMS is completed in Spring 2026, it will have: •Engaged over 1,000 local residents through community events, educational programs, and farming initiatives. •Hosted over 50 artists and creatives through our CHACE AIR program and artist studios. •Produced thousands of pounds of organic produce, benefiting local communities and promoting sustainable practices. •Generated significant media attention and positioned Atlanta as a leader in creative placemaking and sustainable development. Conclusion CHACE FARMS is not just a place—it’s a vision for the future of Metro Atlanta. By addressing critical community needs, empowering local creatives and entrepreneurs, and promoting environmental stewardship, CHACE FARMS will be a catalyst for positive change. We invite you to join us on this exciting journey as we build a legacy of sustainability, creativity, and community that will inspire generations to come.
