When Max met the love of his life in Rome, years ago, he didn't hesitate to travel all the way from France to China to get to be with her. Though he didn't know how to speak a word of Mandarin, he settled there for a time before marrying her and coming back to his home country where they are now raising their three children. Hafize S - from Turkiye with love

Growing up in an immigrant family surely is not always as easy as it seems, but is enriching in many aspects. In this episode, Hafize tells us about how she feels speaking different languages and her love for her parents' country, Turkiye. With many digressions, we also discussed the importance of her religion to her, and how she manages to navigate her way through a secular country and society. Matteo P - an ocean away from home

During his third year of History Bachelor, Matteo had the opportunity to go for one semester in Canada. After having wanted for many years to go and visit the country, the experience ended up making him question what home really was for him, affecting his plans for the future. Grace O - being an Irish lectrice in France

After graduating from a bachelor in human rights, politics and French, Grace decided to spend a year in France as a lectrice (a university language assistant) to improve her French even further, and to live immersed in the culture.
