07 - Dr. Richard Marshall on Fun, Fear and Function

Dr. Richard Marshall (@rmmarshall [https://www.instagram.com/rmmarshall/]) is an older practitioner based in Edinburgh Scotland. He originally planned to speak about 'Fun, Fear and Function' at an event called 'Art of Retreat [https://www.instagram.com/artofretreat/]', but due to Covid, he never got to deliver it. In the podcast we broke down Fun, Fear and Function and the realities of accessible parkour coaching. 05 - Vic Crittenden

This week, Hedge interviews Vic Crittenden (@parkouracle [https://www.instagram.com/parkouracle/]). A community organiser with DC Metro Parkour (DCMP) [https://www.facebook.com/groups/153613838036834/].  They talked about Vic's approach to parkour, his odd sleeping habits and their shared fascination with parkour geekery. They dived deep into: - Statistical analysis in parkour and how to get information out of data. - How it's always important to look at the outliers and the ones who don't fit the standard data set. - What it means to be a community leader and thinking about engaging all the people who use a space. - The link between parkour and civil rights and how different communities use parkour for different needs.
