Episode 78 Strongholds

There is a saying that says - "A stronghold is not a demon sitting on your shoulder; it is a lie sitting in your logic." Strongholds were originally built as a place of safety. They were a strongly built fortress or a castle where people would be free from the dangers of an advancing enemy. A stronghold was a position of strength, an impenetrable place where people could recover and defend easily. The Bible tells us to never give the devil a foothold. He will take that foothold and make it a stronghold. What was meant to give us peace and protection is now turned into a prison of doubt, fear, vulnerability and uncertaintyThe Bible reminds us that God is our refuge and strength. He is our place of safety, protection and certainty. He is our fortress and strong tower. I am looking forward to spending the next few moments with you. I believe that you will be encouraged.

Episode 77 Spiritual Rain

We know that Rain is often a symbol of the work of the Holy Spirit. We equate the Rain of the Holy Spirit with Revival. We call it the outpouring of God. The prophet Joel prophesied that God would pour out His Spirit on all people and he showed us what it would look like. I believe we will see an incredible outpouring of the in our days. I believe that it has already begun. The Lord gave me a prophetic word that I want to share today. This podcast will be a little bit different. We cry out for revival. We say we want the rain of the Spirit and the reign of the Holy Spirit. We forget that in order for there to be rain there must be clouds. I believe that the revival we are crying out for will look different than anything that we have seen in the past. If you are seeking the face of God. Episode 76 Worry

Worry is a five-letter word that impacts all of our lives. All of us deal with worry on some level or another. Some of us deal with it in one area of our live and some of us have made worry a way of life. People love to make slogans that create a great sound bite, but I think do more harm than good. "Be a winner not a worrier, why worry when you can worship, be a warrior not a worrier". I understand the intent, but I think that is like holding a drowning person under water in the hopes of making them resilient. Many people are dealing with legitimate struggles and very real fears. When Jesus speaks to us about worry He doesn't chastise, He offers reassurance and logical conclusions. His teaching offers us hope, help and kindness that drives out fear and promises provision. I think you are going to find this podcast encouraging.

One of the greatest discoveries that a Christian can have is that we are sheep. That's what Jesus calls us. We are the sheep of HIS pasture. Not cattle. Not horses not oxen or donkeys. What sets sheep apart from all of those other animals? They were designed to carry heavy loads. Sheep were not designed that way. Those are all burden bearing beasts. They can shoulder the extra weight. No one uses sheep as beasts of burden. Except for Satan. He tries to weigh us down with all manner of heaviness. Not Jesus! He said - "My yoke is easy and my burden is light. Isaiah prophesied that God would give us the oil of joy for the spirit of heaviness. For far too long we have been hefting things that we were never designed to carry. It is time to cast our cares on Him knowing that He cares for us. This podcast is a burden lifter.
