episode BONUS 600-lb Therapist Part Three artwork

BONUS 600-lb Therapist Part Three

The three part series goes into sensitive topics for some. These are difficult topics such as food, mood, body image, and even topics of suicide risk. There is profanity as well as the use of the word “fat.” Mindful media is also for consideration that I am one person and one person’s experience. This is not the same for all yet it is raw, real, and unfiltered. The original videos are up on my YouTube if you are a visual person: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLDlQYgDIg0kwF9aoqOQYIVDoYWYcIUV7m&si=7vvZrkNbEpTQ1CEb. This is Part Three that discusses the journey while being 600 lbs. Part one discusses the journey to 600 lbs. Part two is posted will be about being the journey while 600 lbs. NOTE: This is educational only and does not assume any roles in my career including therapist, supervisor, Coach, or otherwise. It also does not reflect any of my employers. These are my personal experiences. Please refer or consult your medical providers or care team for further assistance.

episode S8E3 5-Minute Meatloaf They Get To artwork

S8E3 5-Minute Meatloaf They Get To

Many of you have heard about Mel Robbins “Let Them Theory.” This is an alternative that focuses less on control and more about empowerment, social science in that humans are social animals, and something to consider. This is not an active critique and it is NOT saying this is not a helpful resource. There are a lot of clients and people this has helped. Yet for those of us that are in the second or third wave of mental health recovery, I kept getting stuck. So I find my own way to consider things. People GET to, as long as no one is in imminent risk. People get to. I get to. Here is the link through Amazon: https://www.melrobbins.com/book/the-let-them-theory/ Regardless if it sits well with me or not, it has helped so there is the link or check out her posts/Podcast. Thanks for considering and as always, Evolve and Heal on, my friends! Please follow @AnneCTotero on all platforms!

episode BONUS Season 8 Episode: Mental Health Awareness Month artwork

BONUS Season 8 Episode: Mental Health Awareness Month

Mental Health Awareness Month happens every May. This is a month dedicated to continued resources, support, awareness, and a special month to continue to fight the stigma around mental health. There are still at-risk populations who are to be considered and prioritized yet I am here to say: You Matter. Don’t compare your struggles, difficulties, or feelings to others and what they experience. What you are going through is valid and worth sharing. NAMI has a movement for May 2025 #MyMentalHealth where you discuss YOUR story. Whether as an advocate, provider, or someone in recovery. Here is the link: https://www.nami.org/get-involved/awareness-events/mental-health-awareness-month/ Check out my entry under @AnneCTotero on all platforms. If you or someone you know is struggling, please call 9-8-8. These are for crisis situations as well as mental health resources. This is the national (USA ONLY) line for mental health assistance. Please get familiar with your local crisis line if you’re outside of USA. YOU MATTER! Stay with us another day. Please know all posts are educational only. They do not replace medical treatment nor claim to be.

S8E2 5-Minute Meatloaf Mental Health Provider Appreciation Day

May 12 is Mental Health Provider Appreciation Day. This has been true since 2020 and I will keep it alive as long as I am around. I am hoping it will make it to the federal government in a proclamation by that time so it stays alive forever. Here is the original National Day Archives from the crowd-funding: https://www.nationaldayarchives.com/day/national-mental-health-provider-appreciation-day/ Please visit here for more information: https://www.annectotero.com/mental-health-provider-appreciation-day Please post about it with #MentalHealthProviderAppreciationDay and share the ideas of how to show appreciation for someone who helped you in your mental health journey!
