Description

There's a new trend that's taking social media by storm, Gen Z is "fake" shopping. They are called dopamine sites, and you can buy anything from a new phone, clothes, shoes, even order a pizza.  But what's the catch? They're not real. These sites are there to simulate the experience of shopping to scratch that itch. You can put in an order, and even track it coming to you without paying, or getting the actual product. We speak with Rhia Catapano, an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Rotman at the University of Toronto, with a focus on consumer behaviour and psychology.
