Episode 1 - Introduction
Alright, welcome to the very first episode of the gonorth podcast.
First of I should introduce myself, my name is axel, I live in stockholm, sweden and I’ve been working with digital marketing since I was around 12 years old.
The format of this podcast is quite unusual I’d say, as it has not only a clear objective, but also a real end-date.
The objective here is to break down, and re-build the entire digital strategy of the marketing agency that I’ve been running for almost 8 years now: Northside.
And my intention is to bring you along with me on this venture, which will last for about a year in total, through this podcast.
The situation we are in is quite common, we are growing rapidly and during that growth we haven’t been able to focus on our own marketing as much as I desire.
In total it will be around 25-30 episodes, and to give you a general outline It will consist of something like this:
The first episode will be identifying where we stand, and what I mean by that is what resources do we have, what goals do we want to achieve, what’s the expected timeframe for a positive ROI and more.
The following 5-10 episodes will be strategical, where we go through all of the different areas that will be critical for our success; traffic channels, lead generation, branding & positioning, growth-driven web optimization and more.
After that, we will go deeper into each area, often accompanied by guests that are extremely good at the field.
The last episodes will be dedicated to follow-up, key learnings and bringing up the mistakes that we made along the way.
As we are a marketing agency, we operate in the b2b category, so the entire podcast will certainly lean towards that side, but, you should still be able to gain a lot of insight, take-aways and knowledge even if you operate in b2c.
