Episode #236: Uncanonized Revelation Series-John Taylor #3 W/Jeff Alldredge

On this episode we are going to get back into the 125 Uncanonized Revelations that are found in the RSV Scriptures as Jeff Alldredge and I have a conversation about John Taylor #3. To start off our conversation Jeff and I talk for a few about an exciting new project, him and his family have startedto try and help folks become self-sufficient. From there we move into talking about the revelation. During the course of our conversation we cover topics such as, Joseph Smith’s role in the Restoration, God’s concern for the rights of man, what it means to be chosen rather than just called, learning to surrender to our will to God, and much more. Episode #235: Ending Abuse In Mormonism W/Justin Francom

WARNING NOT FOR CHILDREN!!! On this episode me and Justin Francom sit down to talk about a very heavy subject, Ending Abuse in Mormonism. We start this conversation by talking about abuse happening in the world outside of Mormonism to show that this is not unique to just Mormons. From there we talk about a little bit about how to distinguish between reputable claims of abuse versus maybe some claims that might be a little less reliable. From there we dive head long into talking about abuse in our own faith communities. We do this first by talking about a case study of such things from a book that gives accounts of this and focusing on one story in particular and seeing someof the red flags that crop up as a type of warning light and talking about why our times are different from the 1800’s. From there Justin lines out six practices that if found could be leaving the door open to abuse in our various faith communities and address each point and give alternatives that might help all of our families and communities avoid abuse and become a bit healthier and more vibrant.

Episode #234: The Hidden Revelations Series: An Overview W/Ben Shaffer

On this episode we are going to kick off a new series inwhich I have different guests on to cover the unpublished revelations. Now if you want these revelations you can pick up a copy of the restored version of the scriptures that Drew Briney put forward last year, because they have a lotof them in there. On this episode Ben Shaffer and I sit down and talk about a few of those revelations in an overview to kind of set the table for what is to come. We spend some time talking about the 1886 revelation, and three more fromJohn Taylor & Wilford Woodruff. Now this series won’t be released back-to-back as there are a lot of them and there are other topics that need to be covered. So, this series will take us a while to get through. But if you are a person who has always sought after more revelation than this series and certainly this episode is going to be right up your alley.

Episode #233: Principles Over Expediency W/Dr. Chase Spears

For those who listen to the podcast regularly it comes as nosurprises that I am sometimes embarrassingly patriotic and passionate about America’s founding principles. With that said it naturally follows that I am pretty interested in how our young men are treated inside the United States Armed Services, and that is where this week’s guest Chase Spears comes in. Dr. Chase Spears is a combat veteran who served as a U.S.Army public affairs officer for 20 years, retiring from Fort Leavenworth on October 1, 2023. During the course of our conversation, we talk about his time in the United States Armed Service and how over time he consistently saw how our service members rights were frustrated by far-left ideologies that have crept in to our Armed Forces which ultimately led to him turning down a promotion to Lieutenant Colonel and chose to depart military service as a Major believing that he could serve the nation’s defense more effectively in a civilian capacity. Chase is the recipient of awards from the Command and General Staff College, Georgetown University, the International Public Relations Research Association, the interdisciplinary national honor society Phi Kappa Phi, and the International Association of Business Communicators (Kansas City chapter). Chase is passionate about holding the militaryaccountable to its Constitutional purpose. He is widely published on civil-military and political topics in publications that include The American Mind, Real Clear Defense, The Washington Post, and The Baltimore Sun. He has alsoauthored chapters about communication professionalism in two books. Chase is often sought out for expert perspective by media organizations including News Nation, The Gateway Pundit, and American Family News.   Chase is also the host of Finding Your Spine Podcast which challenges the status quo. The podcast explores how Christians—and even secular conservatives—can stand firm in their values amid the pressures of cancel culture. Withinsightful commentary and bold conversations, Dr. Spears examines the tradeoff many make between conscience and comfort, reminding listeners that true freedom requires the spine to defend it. Tune in each week for thought-provokingdiscussions that inspire moral courage in an age of compromise.  MormonLegacy Ministries: mormonlegacy.org  5000Year Leap Class: mormonlegacy.org/5000  Dr. Chase Spears – Leader | Communicator |Adventurer [https://chasespears.com/]

Episode #232: The Books of Enoch Part 2 W/Ken Peterson

WARNING! BECAUSE OF SOME THINGSTHAT ENOCH SEES IN OUR DAY CONCERNING CERTAIN LIFSTYLES THIS MAY NOT BESUITABLE FOR YOUNG CHILDREN!! Today on the podcast is the second and final episode on the three books of Enoch. Now last week we really set the table by talking a lot about the history of the books and how they made their way into modernity before diving into FirstEnoch. On this Episode we wrap up First Enoch and then dive into Enoch’ Two and Three. Now if you are like me one of the coolest things to discover is things that are uniquely Mormon in ancient texts. Well today on the show you get a bigdose of that, especially if you are familiar with the Ordinances of the Temple. We also end up finding traces of principles such as, the Pre-Existence, The Degrees of Glory after resurrection, what Enoch saw in our day, and much more. Hang out for a fascinating conversation this week.   MormonLegacy Ministries: mormonlegacy.org   5000Year Leap Class: mormonlegacy.org/5000
