Fariba and Nikayda are the co-presidents of BSPA Carleton: the Black Students in Public Affairs club on Carleton's campus. Uzoma is currently a Member of the Legislative Assembly in Manitoba for Union Station. They made history in 2019 for being the first Black, queer MLA in Mantioba's history. We are joined by Tinu Akinwande and Pascal Adesina who are not strangers to the podcast and are recent university graduates. Tinu earned her Bachelors in Political Science with a concentration in Public Affairs and Policy Analysis with a double major in African Studies from Carleton University and Pascal earned his Bachelors in Justice, Political Philosophy and Law and a minor in Linguistics from McMaster University. In this episode, we discuss black love relating to familial, platonic, and self love.
