About VIA: Love & Evolution Podcast

Welcome to VIA - our cozy little corner of the world. We are Katrina Bean and Sarah Morgando, two curious, loving and open-minded individuals who speak honestly about what it means to be human. What began as a meet up for dinner to reconnect after 20+ years and both experiencing sibling loss, has transformed into the creation of something bigger. We discovered the healing benefits of deep, authentic conversations; becoming more aware of the conditions that raised us (and the mistakes we made along the way!). Our meet-ups have always been our safe space. Now, we open our judgement-free zone to share with YOU. Through authentic exchanges around awareness and self-development, we bring a humanitarian light to the key aspects of change, cycles and personal growth. Our Podcast features impactful guest stories and raw conversation. We celebrate differences, favor the bold, and show up with curiosity in a divisive world. We dare ourselves to exist fully and openly; to learn a deeper truth about the world by understanding all who live in it. We desire to end stigmas, lessen fears and empower others to live authentically and inclusively. Listen in to lower your cortisol levels and experience community healing in our modern world.

Fear is a fantasy, too

In Episode 56 of Via Love and Evolution, Katrina opens the conversation by sharing a few of her favorite things: nostalgic characters from growing up in the ‘80s and ‘90s, along with a darling hand-painted portrait that now sits behind her as a daily reminder of the life-altering love of pets. Together, these reflections become an invitation to treasure what was while appreciating who and where we are now. As Spring unfolds, so do conversations around changing environments, digital cleansing, movement, shifting, clearing, and the necessary discomfort that often comes with growth. This season asks us to release what no longer fits and sometimes that process comes with uncertainty. Uncertainty can draw anxiety out of even the best of us. Sarah speaks openly about her own experience navigating the unknown and the vulnerability that naturally surfaces when life asks us to trust what we cannot yet see. In a world that often pressures certainty and perfection, being brave enough to stay open requires real courage. Together, Sarah and Katrina explore the risks of regret, what to do when you make the “wrong” move, and how fear is just as much a fantasy about the future as optimism is. The question becomes: which story do we want to feed? This episode is about expanding curiosity, strengthening self-compassion, and learning how to stay soft in a world that often rewards disconnection from self. We also reflect on the importance of rebelling against the toxic narratives that thrive when we feel ashamed, weak, guilty, or small. So channel your inner She-Ra, courageous warriors. Raises giant sword into the air - “For the honor of Love and Evolution!”

Life Has A Funny Way

Episode 55 of Via Love and Evolution is here… for real this time. How did we forget Episode 52? Honestly, probably because we’re busy moms who also somehow manage to podcast every week! HA! From our little corner of the world to yours: Happy Mother’s Day. We gave ourselves a week off to celebrate, rest, and soak in the sweetness (and chaos) of life. We’re back with an episode that feels both mature and maternal. Sarah draws inspiration from a few of the OG mothers of self-awareness and growth. Yes, we’ve got inspiration from Brené, we’ve got Maya, and we’ve even got Alanis. Sarah also shares her experience processing a big emotional transition, offering an honest glimpse into what it looks like to move through even expected and necessary change with tenderness and intention. Together, we practice mothering ourselves in real time, talking through the emotions of the past few weeks and honoring what it means to belong to ourselves first. We explore the impact of ritual, the power of safe presence, and the catharsis that comes from being witnessed while vulnerable. As always, we notice the subtle shifts in our cycles of growth and development and we return to the reminder that love is the ultimate source. We’re feeling grounded, reflective, and more connected to what we hope to give to others moving forward. Take care out there. We love you.

episode The Other Side of F&%$ing Up artwork

The Other Side of F&%$ing Up

In Episode 55 of Via Love and Evolution, Sarah and Katrina explore the energy of Uranus moving into Gemini and why this astrological shift can act as a catalyst for major change, both personally and collectively. Change can feel wildly different depending on where you’re standing. For some, it’s anxiety-inducing and destabilizing. For others, it’s the prize behind a mysterious door the thing that sets you free. In this conversation, we unpack how this theme is already showing up in our own lives, and how growth and alignment are becoming more tangible by the day. We reflect on the changes we’ve made so far many of them unexpected, uncomfortable, and deeply humbling… and also wholly necessary and wonderful. The kind of change that doesn’t just shift your circumstances, but shifts you. This episode is an honest look at what it means to evolve through uncertainty, to learn through missteps, and to discover that sometimes the other side of “f&%$ing up” is actually clarity, courage, and a new version of yourself. Along the way, we explore the essential roles of optimism and curiosity and why cultivating both might be one of the greatest tools we have for flowing with the unknown. If you’re in a season of change, this one’s for you.

Mistakes, Meaning, and Being Human

Episode 54 of Via Love and Evolution is all about mistakes and what it really means to be human. Sarah and Katrina have a candid, grounded conversation about showing up with intention, even when we don’t know what kind of trauma we might be holding space for… including our own. What happens when you realize you could’ve done better? When you make a genuine mistake or even a seasoned, “I-should’ve-known” kind of error? Together, we explore the uncomfortable but necessary questions: How do we move mistakes into lessons instead of shame spirals? How do we hold compassion for ourselves when we know better and still drop the ball? What do we do when our biases, triggers, or unresolved wounds sneak into the room? This episode is a reflection on accountability without self-abandonment. A practice in learning how to repair, grow, and stay present even when we’re imperfect. Through real-life scenarios and honest storytelling, we unpack what empowerment looks like in the work we do and in the relationships we care about. We explore the balance between care, compassion, and responsibility and the richness that comes from showing up authentically, even if we make it messy. Because maybe the real question isn’t “Is it okay to make mistakes?” Maybe the question is: Can we learn to stay with ourselves when we do? How do you feel about this episode - we want to hear from you!

Ethical and Conscious Communication

April is SAAM - Sexual Assault Awareness Month Episode 53 of Via Love and Evolution brings forward a conversation that is heavy but deeply relevant to the current state of the world. In honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Sarah and Katrina hold space for a topic that deserves more truth, tenderness, and real awareness. This past week, Sarah fulfilled one of her heartfelt goals by completing training to become a volunteer sexual assault advocate. She shares what the experience was like, including the staggering realities and statistics surrounding the prevalence of sexual abuse and sexual violence and what it means to be educated, prepared, and willing to show up. Katrina explores the subject through her own lens as a survivor, speaking to the layered, complex nature of trauma and the long echoes it can leave behind. Together, we reflect on what “showing up” actually looks like how to respond as a safe person, how to practice active listening, how to honor someone’s autonomy and agency, and how to support survivors without centering ourselves. We also discuss how to care for your own nervous system while holding space for others. This episode is rooted in awareness not as a passive concept, but as a conscious, active practice. A frequency of compassion, presence, and proactive peace. While the subject matter is intense, this conversation is ultimately filled with gratitude for the healing, courage, and safety it takes to speak about sexual violence with honesty and care.
