Episode #4806 Jesus’ Sacrificial Love
Father Anthony with Cristina and Tony are joined by Alice Babij (Bobby). Father welcomes us, today is the Feast of St. Joseph. Father leads us in prayer and afterwards reads and unpacks the gospel reading for today. He then defers to his guest, Alice who today shares from the book “Love Written in Flesh and Blood” by Fr. Scott Haynes. In the book, Fr. Haynes leads us in mediation of the Passion of Christ via the medical insight of French Surgeon Pierre Barbet. The book leads us to confront the physical reality of what Jesus suffered through the scourging, crucifixion and the piercing of his side. In the reflections, were meant to be led to an awakening in realization of the cost of Jesus’ sacrifice for us. Jesus’ sacrificial love for us was truly written in flesh and blood. After Prayer, Alice returns today to share the book, “The Three Marys at the Foot of the Cross” by Fr. Scott Haynes. In the book, Fr. Haynes invites women to walk spiritually to Calgary alongside these women. In the reflections we come to see that feminine love, when tested by suffering, is one of the strongest loves found.
