Descripción

Dr Higgins has spent much of his life advocating and researching a term called “Biophilia”. What this refers to is our need to engage with nature in order to operate optimally as a human being. We evolved in nature and Dr Les argues that we cannot ignore our modern day need for connection with nature. He has alot of scientific fact to back up his standing. Including the effect running water has on the chemistry of the brain and how certain colors in nature can effect our physiology. We dive in with DR Higgins and discover why it is we trade modern day luxuries on suburban life for a tent and a caravan. We also look at the rise of mental health conditions and the subsequent decrease in time spent in nature. We also talk at length about raising kids, and how we can foster their connection with nature to make sure we produce balanced human beings.
