Taking Action

“1,000 Miles to Memphis” is a civil rights solidarity march and voter registration campaign kicking off on July 25, 2026. The 30-day journey runs from July 27 to August 27, 2026, routing from Nashville to Atlanta, Birmingham, Jackson, and Memphis, with the goal of registering 100,000 voters. The initiative aims to protest the 2026 Supreme Court ruling (Louisiana v. Callais) that weakened the Voting Rights Act by mobilizing grassroots support and ballot access drives at churches and college campuses across the Deep South.
