02. Design, Creativity and Business

Welcome to the B2C Podcast! Business to Creatives. One of the most significant shifts in mindset we did was separating the Artistic Vision from the Business Vision. As creatives, we tend to put a lot of attention and care on our craft. However, just being good at a particular creative area is not enough to be successful in business. It's essential to understand the client's goals and align them with an artistic vision. Even if you are "just" a Freelancer, you should know you are already a business and because of that, you should commit to your business as much as you would commit to your craft. This transition of how we look at the work we do can be hard sometimes, but it's one of the pillars towards creating a successful creative business.

01. Speak your client's language - for real

Welcome to the B2C Podcast! Business to Creatives. We all heard about the importance of speaking your client's language in business. However, what if you spoke their "real" language. It's vital if you want to expand your business and deal with clients worldwide. Speaking a new language is not only a personal goal but can be a business goal. You don't need to speak as good as a native on that language, but putting the effort and being able to communicate in a new language, can open doors you never thought were possible before. In our first episode, Felippe Silveira and Julio Scarpelini share how learning English and looking for ways to improve it, allowed them to grow their businesses and gave them the confidence to now produce an entire podcast in... well... English!
