Descripción

What if the biggest thing standing between you and the life you want… isn't your past, your circumstances, or even your trauma? What if it's the stories you've been telling yourself to stay comfortable?   In this episode, I'm lovingly getting under your skin because I want to expose the excuses, justifications, and unconscious patterns that quietly keep us stuck. I've lived them myself—from addiction and burnout to blaming my past and waiting for the "perfect time" to change. The truth is, healing begins the moment we stop defending our limitations and start becoming aware of them.   We talk about how excuses often hide behind phrases like "I'll start Monday," "Just this once," or "It's too hard right now." I also unpack how codependency, comparison, and blaming others can keep us trapped in unhealthy cycles without us even realizing it.   The good news? Awareness isn't meant to shame you—it's meant to free you. Once you can see your patterns, you finally have the power to choose something different.   In This Episode, You'll Discover: * What excuses may be quietly keeping you stuck without you realizing it * How codependency, comparison, and unconscious habits influence your daily choices * Why awareness is the first step toward lasting healing and true freedom   If this conversation challenged you, don't ignore it—lean into it. Sometimes the discomfort is exactly where transformation begins. Episode 50: Awakening to 35,000 — Navigating Conscious and Unconscious Choices

Did you know we may make up to 35,000 decisions in a single day? No wonder we can feel overwhelmed, stuck, or completely checked out by the end of it.   In this episode, I’m talking about the difference between conscious and unconscious choices—and why becoming aware of our patterns can change everything. So many of us are living on autopilot, repeating habits, thoughts, and reactions that no longer serve our health, relationships, or peace. That’s where unconscious habits can quietly take over.   I also share my own experience with decision fatigue, burnout, and getting caught in the pressure of trying to do too much. We explore how stress can make us numb out, doom scroll, overeat, freeze, or avoid decisions altogether—and how those reactions are often signals from our nervous system, not proof that we’re failing.   This episode is an invitation to slow down, get curious, and practice mindful decision making one choice at a time.   In this episode, you’ll start wondering: * What choices am I making on autopilot every single day? * Could decision fatigue be affecting my health, habits, and peace? * What might change if I paused before reacting and chose with intention?   You don’t have to overhaul your whole life today. Start with one pattern, one pause, and one conscious choice.   If this episode speaks to you, share it with a friend, follow the show, and leave a review. It helps more people wake up to the life they were created to live.   If you have more questions please email me at Hello@TDAHYOU.com [Hello@TDAHYOU.com]   Connect with me: 📱 Instagram: @pollyahamp [https://www.instagram.com/pollyahamp/]   📱 Facebook: Polly Hamp [https://www.facebook.com/PollyAHamp/]

Episode 49: Are We Having Fun Yet?

What if one of the most important parts of your healing journey isn’t another book, another course, or another breakthrough… but simply learning how to have fun again?   In this episode, I explore something many trauma survivors struggle with: joy. When we’ve spent years living in survival mode, hypervigilance, anxiety, and constant stress can become our normal. We get so focused on healing, fixing, improving, and protecting ourselves that we forget to actually enjoy our lives.   I share why healing from trauma and hypervigilance requires more than awareness—it requires connection. We talk about how the nervous system was designed to move between protection and connection, and how intentionally creating moments of fun can help regulate stress, build safety, and create new patterns in the brain.   This episode is an invitation to pause, breathe, and ask yourself a simple question: What am I doing today that is fun?Because joy isn’t a reward for healing—it’s part of the healing process itself.   In This Episode, You'll Discover: * Why fun is essential for nervous system regulation and emotional healing * How trauma and hypervigilance can steal joy without you realizing it * Practical ways to reconnect with curiosity, playfulness, and life * Why creating moments of joy helps your body feel safe again * The connection between healing, identity, and experiencing life fully   Whether you're navigating trauma recovery, burnout, stress, or simply feeling stuck, this episode will encourage you to make space for joy again.   Resources Mentioned Cherished: Shattered Innocence. Episode 48: Discovering Love's Power: Amy Ford on Embrace Grace's Impact

What happens when love shows up in the middle of an impossible situation?   In this powerful conversation, I sit down with Amy Ford, founder of Embrace Grace, to talk about her personal journey through an unplanned pregnancy, the fear and shame she experienced, and how one compassionate pause changed the trajectory of her life forever. Together, we explore why women facing unexpected pregnancies need support instead of judgment, and how the church can become a place of hope, healing, and practical help.   Amy shares the incredible story behind Embrace Grace, a global ministry that equips churches to walk alongside women with unexpected pregnancies through emotional, spiritual, and practical support. We discuss the difference between being merely pro-life and becoming truly pro-love, and why kindness often creates more transformation than condemnation ever could.   This episode is filled with inspiring stories of redemption, forgiveness, community, and the life-changing impact of showing up for someone during one of the most vulnerable seasons of their life.   In This Episode: * Amy's personal story of navigating an unexpected pregnancy * How Embrace Grace grew from one small church group into a worldwide movement * Why compassion and community are critical for women facing difficult decisions * The healing power of forgiveness and second chances * How churches can create safe spaces for women and families   Connect with Amy Ford & Embrace Grace   Embrace Grace: https://www.embracegrace.com [https://www.embracegrace.com/] Amy Ford: https://www.amyford.com [https://www.amyford.com/] Instagram: @amyfordeg Instagram: @embracegraceinc   If you have more questions please email me at Hello@TDAHYOU.com [Hello@TDAHYOU.com]   Connect with me:   📱 Instagram: @pollyahamp [https://www.instagram.com/pollyahamp/]   📱 Facebook: Polly Hamp [https://www.facebook.com/PollyAHamp/]   If this episode encouraged you, please follow, share, and leave a review. Episode 47: From Ashes to A Blaze: My Story of Becoming Blaze

What if the very thing that tried to destroy you could become the foundation of your purpose?   In this special episode, I’m taking you back to where the Be A Blaze Podcast began and sharing the deeply personal story behind the name Blaze. This isn’t just a story about my past—it’s a story about healing, identity, trauma recovery, and discovering that our greatest pain does not have to become our final destination.   I open up about my journey through childhood trauma, sexual abuse, shame, self-hatred, and the years I spent searching for worth and belonging in all the wrong places. I share how those experiences shaped my beliefs, influenced my choices, and eventually led me to a powerful realization: healing happens when we stop letting our past define us and start embracing who we were truly created to be.   This episode is about more than my story. It's an invitation for you to discover your own "blaze"—that unique purpose, passion, and identity that may have been buried beneath pain, disappointment, trauma, or fear.   In This Episode, You'll Discover: * Why your greatest struggle may be pointing toward your greatest purpose * How trauma recovery and identity healing can transform your entire life * What it means to reignite the fire within and live fully alive   Whether you're navigating healing, searching for purpose, overcoming trauma, or simply wondering what's next, this conversation will remind you that your story is not over.   If this episode encouraged you, please follow, download, share, and leave a review.
