What if you spent one minute feeling proud before your next task and let that lead? In this episode of Being in My Goodness, I'm sharing one of my favorite practices called Proud Pose. You may have heard of the Superman pose where standing tall before a big moment to walk in with more confidence. This is different. Deeper. Proud Pose isn't about confidence. It's about self-assurance. Self-belief. Self-trust. You find what proud feels like in your body, easy, fluid, yours, and you hold it while you bring to mind something that made you genuinely proud. It could be something you did. It could be something someone you love did. Either way, you hold it for a minute and then go do your next thing. I use this before writing emails, after seeing metrics that make me want to shrink, and anytime I've come from something frustrating. What if the way you were writing your affirmations… was why they weren't landing? In this episode of Being in My Goodness, I'm sharing a practice called Embodied Notes. Your mind can repeat something a thousand times and your body still won't believe it. That gap… the one between what you consciously want to believe and what your body is actually carrying is where so many affirmations stall. This practice closes that gap by bringing your body into the process. All you do is write a short note to yourself like a goal, a belief, something you want to embody with your non-dominant hand. That one shift slows everything down. It opens space between the words and lets the message move past your mind and into your body. I've been doing this for years. When we lead with our minds, our bodies often get left behind. And when your mind is moving forward while your body is frozen, shaking, or numb, you're working against yourself sending mixed signals without even knowing it. This practice uses touch to wake your body up and signal your nervous system: we're here, we're safe, we can move. It's one of the very first practices I learned for regulating my own body, and one of the first things I introduced to my son when he was one. He's 13 now. It's still one we use. Simple. Discreet.
