On our third Round of 16 Review show, we discussed these two matches as we saw the last of Cristiano Ronaldo in a Portugal shirt. Spain just edged their opponents inside the first minute of second-half stoppage time. For the USMNT, they failed as soon as the opening whistle blew. Looking disjointed, out of sync, and couldn’t keep the ball out of their net. There was a lot of hell, fire, and brimstone coming out of our mouths as Michael Martinez and I exploded on this team that was supposed to be destined to head to the Quarterfinals, once again sputtered at the Round of 16.
