A Family Affair looks at the innermost circle of one's support network--those on the physical and emotional frontlines. Episode features the Rev. Dr. Mike Tanner, a NAMI volunteer and family facilitator and support specialist. It also includes a brief reflection by Ginny Gorman the host's mother speaking about the first night of his onset in 1991. We conclude with the beginning of "Bipolar Beatdown: A Love Story"--the opening 15 minutes of a teleplay that will be part of an occasional series.

Finding My Religion

We are pleased to welcome Drs. Ed Ergenzinger and Harold G. Koenig for a roundtable discussion of religion and mania. Dr. Ergenzinger is a neuroscientist, patent attorney, and frequent contributor to Psychology Today. Dr. Koenig, a psychiatrist at the Duke University Medical Center for the past 20 years, directs Duke's Center for the Study of Religion/Spirituality and Health.
