We are discussing this topic today as a part of the allergy series and how allergic reactions affects different parts of the body. We have discussed the nose, eyes, throat, lungs, and now we are discussing the stomach/gut area and how it can be negatively affected by an over reactive immune system to a particular allergen (protein) introduced into the digestive tract. Over the years we have become more sensitive to different types of foods which manufactured, fertilized, chemically treated whatever the case more babies and children are being affected with food allergies.

I Can't Breathe: Understanding Allergies and Asthma

The Greek word (pneuma) translates to "spirit," "wind," or "breath." It originates from the verb (pneō), meaning "to breathe" or "to blow." In ancient Greek philosophy and biblical texts, "pneuma" often refers to the immaterial essence or life-giving force. If we don't breathe or exchange Oxygen for Carbon dioxide we will have problems with our very existence. We will explore the importance of our lungs and how allergies and asthma interreact in that process.
