Peyton St. George: Player One Building a DI Softball Program from Scratch
In this episode, Dan is joined by Peyton St. George to discuss her journey and career playing softball at the D1 and pro levels. Peyton St. George is a former Division I All-American pitcher who helped build a Division I softball program from the ground up as its first commit, eventually becoming one of the program’s most accomplished athletes. After graduating from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business in 2022, she pursued a professional softball career with Athletes Unlimited while working full-time at Teamworks. As a Senior Product Success Manager, Peyton helps collegiate and professional organizations implement NIL and revenue-sharing technology while driving athlete engagement. Today she remains passionate about sport, mental health, competition, and performance. Jimmy Chow: The Effusion Problem: Fixing the Biggest Barrier in Recovery
In this episode, Dan is joined by Jimmy Chow to discuss effusion management and incorporation of inkwell into sports medicine care. Dr. Jimmy Chow is a surgeon-inventor with over 15 patents worldwide in the US, Canada, EU, Australia, Japan and China. He is an engineer and a board-certified hip and knee specialist with dual fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction and Arthroscopic Surgery. Dr. Chow is the emeritus National Medical Director of Orthopaedics for Tenet Healthcare, the US’s third largest for-profit hospital system. He is the founder of Chow Surgical LLC in Phoenix, AZ, where he is also the Fellowship Director for an ISAKOS-accredited fellowship in hip and knee surgery Dr. Chow has extensive experience with surgical technology and has been involved with orthopedics robotics platforms since 2010. He lectures on data, technology, robotics, and AI and recently helped introduce the world’s first machine-learning AI system in orthopedic robotics. Dr. Chow is credited as a key inventor of the SuperPATH microinvasive total hip procedure and has been a lead designing surgeon for the NAVIO and CORI robotics platforms. Danielle Grega: Pressure Is a Privilege Inside a National Team Field Hockey Career

Danielle Grega is a former U.S. Women’s National Field Hockey Team athlete with more than 90 international caps representing the United States. Originally from Kingston, Pennsylvania, she played Division I field hockey at Old Dominion University before spending six years competing internationally with Team USA, including appearances in the Pan American Games and Olympic qualification tournaments. Danielle now works in nutritional sales and remains active in growing the game through camps, clinics, and athlete mentorship. Mike Sullivan: Addition by Subtraction- Minimal Effective Dose in Sport Performance
In this episode, Dan is joined by Mike Sullivan to discuss his philosophies and principles around sports performance for high level lacrosse athletes, with specific focus on minimum effective dose. Mike Sullivan joined the Syracuse Athletics strength and conditioning staff in August 2023. Coverage at Syracuse for Sullivan includes Women's Lacrosse, & Women's Tennis. Sullivan brings over half a decade of college strength and conditioning experience to Syracuse, most recently working at Morgan State in Baltimore. Sullivan worked closely with the Bears’ football team, as well as both the men’s and women’s track programs.Sullivan also serves a role in Strength & Conditioning for the US Women’s Lacrosse National Team. Prior to his time on Cold Spring Lane, Sullivan spent two and a half years with Edgewater Fitness as a performance coach, designing and implementing training programs for individuals and team clients. In addition to daily operation and maintenance duties, Sullivan worked with other coaches to design new programs to help expand clientele. From August 2021 until May 2023, Sullivan was an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Stevenson University in Owings Mills, Maryland, working closely with 17 of the Mustangs’ athletic teams, including football and field hockey as well as both men’s and women’s lacrosse programs. Sullivan used data from sport science tracking technology to help implement programming for various teams. From fall 2019 into the winter of 2020, Sullivan worked closely for all in-season training and conditioning programs for Team Maryland Ice Hockey’s Under-15, U16, and U18 teams. He assisted with daily duties with the Washington Pride U14, U16, and U19 women’s ice hockey teams as well. While working towards his four college degrees, Sullivan held various positions at the University of Maryland and Salisbury University, serving as a volunteer intern, a graduate assistant (sports performance) and a collegiate intern. During those two years, he worked with various sports, including baseball, basketball, football, lacrosse, swimming, soccer, volleyball, and wrestling. Sullivan graduated from Salisbury in May 2019 with a Master of Science degree in applied health physiology. He additionally earned two bachelor’s degrees from Maryland, one in Kinesiology and one in sociology. In 2011, Sullivan completed his Associate of Arts degree from Anne Arundel Community College in Arnold, Maryland. Sullivan holds various professional certificates from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI). Raine Wilson: Beyond the Diamond Identity, Injury, and Life After Sport
In this episode, Dan is joined by Raine Wilson to discuss her career in softball and post-college athletics. Special thank you to Jordan Bar for making this episode possible. Raine Wilson is a former Division I softball player at Duke University, where she helped build the program during its inaugural era and earned All-ACC honors. After her playing career was cut short by injury, she transitioned into global travel guiding, storytelling, and sports media. Raine now works in medical device sales and serves as a college softball broadcaster, calling games for programs such as Duke, Virginia Tech, and ECU on ACCN Extra, ESPN+, and regional broadcasts. A passionate advocate for sport, leadership, and storytelling, she continues to share the athlete experience through media and conversation.
